  • In the video, I wanted to explain the benefits and process of licensing brands. I partnered with some of the biggest brands in the world such as Disney and Warner Brothers with the Oodie. This resulted in one of our most profitable months with over $500,000 in revenue in just 30 days.

    It's almost a crime for small ecom biz owner like me not to pay something back to Davie for this kinda of quality content.

    Yes not a lot of ecom brand does that. it's impressive because selling clothes like the oodies it not easy it's almost down to only the marketing. and this is a testament on the importance of marketing . As an engineer it shows that great quality an conception is very important to the success and retention rate ( and return of customer , no hit and run situation ) the marketing is the Queen on the chessboard it can change and impact a lot in a single move on the bottom line.
    I liked that he said that the more professional you are the more they want to work with you.
    On that note back to work.

    AFL Oodies were a good idea. A year or two ago before I bought an Oodie there weren't any that I really liked. At the time I was thinking you should approach the AFL as they'd be really popular and then you did! I finally bought an (AFL) Oodie then. NRL would be pretty popular too and Australia colours for various national teams. See if you can do Socceroos and Matildas before the next World Cups, although I imagine FIFA are very protective (assuming you need their permission)

    Davie, your insights into the licensing world are truly enlightening. It's fascinating how strategic partnerships and smart marketing can turn a brand into a goldmine.

    Brilliant advice, thank you!
    Quick question: I have a product that I think will work well for especially Australia and New Zealand, but they not my "home" country. Would that change or affect how I should go about dropshipping and how do I find out about import rules and taxes? And can apply this advice to other countries that I might consider? Thanks in advance.

    • @DavieFogarty
      @DavieFogarty  9 місяців тому +1

      Regarding taxes, that would be something to discuss with your accountants. However if you're planning on dropshipping to Australia and New Zealand, then it would not change how you would dropship those products or the sales process in any way.

    Knew it would be licensing...and you can licence ANYTHING.
    E.g. Your marketing campaigns...copy...strategies...apart from marks and trademarks...
    And of course there's BARTER...

    I’m reaching out to suppliers for the implementation of certain Marvel characters into my product. Do you know guys the website to ask for information about how much would it be using the name of this characters for my product?
    I’m considering to name them different so that I don’t pay copyright, what do you guys think?

    • @DavieFogarty
      @DavieFogarty  9 місяців тому

      You're likely speaking about slight changes to already well known characters which will fall into trademark infringement so I would avoid this unless you have licensed them.

    Davie, do you still recommend dropshipping to kick things off to speed lead times or actually build a relationship with a supplier even though it takes 30 days or so? What do you think

    • @DavieFogarty
      @DavieFogarty  9 місяців тому +2

      Often if you reach out to suppliers, they will be able to find shipping times between 7-12 business days which the majority of your customers won't mind as long as you're upfront about it.

    Do you managed all of your own stock or ship from suppliers? My brain melts when figuring out return policies when working with smaller fulfillment centers or drop shipping supplies in far away countries

    Not hating, but if you're making so much money from your brand why even bother / waste your time with 'ecom mentorship' and stuff like that? Doesn't really make sense.

      it creates a social media following he can sell classes to, and also use for different collaborations, plus he can market his product for the same audience. there are tons of reasons to post '' you can be a millionare'' videos like these..

      From the videos I have watched he seems to like teaching. He also seems to be building a brand for himself, while conquering his fears. I am not sure about this, but I think this could also be an avenue for him to find cool companies he can invest in. I have seen him say multiple times that courses are scams, and he has a mentorship program or two where he speaks to Entrepreneurs.

    • @olliee2353
      @olliee2353 9 місяців тому

      @@obunny3251 Yeh I mean his whole 'identity' on this channel at the start was 'I will never sell you anything', now he is selling us something but only to people who are already successful in the ecom space, which I think is fine. But in the future if he just makes his mentorship open to anyone for $1800 a month then he's going against everything he used to speak on and he's just turning into all the other gurus.

      If you had $10k cash and then found $1k on the ground the following day would you grab it or just leave it because it's only $1k ? Why leave money on the table if it would look better in your pocket...

    • @olliee2353
      @olliee2353 9 місяців тому +3

      @@qualityoverrquantity that doesn't make sense at all and is unrelated to what I said. Time is more valuable than money. Do you see billionaires running courses on how to be like them? No, because it would be a waste of time. Only reason for this dude to put his time and effort into running a course would be if his actual businesses are at a dead end. Why waste time on teaching people what you do when you can already grow your successful business even more?
      Doesn't make sense.
