John Landis - great director. Agree that comedic horror is a core precept. I'd also like to say... That if not for Baker’s genius ... and he didn’t stop there. He brought life to the alien creatures in Men in Black (1997) with an array of quirky, memorable designs, and his work on The Howling (1981) cemented his reputation as a pioneer of practical effects. Even Harry and the Hendersons (1987) saw him creating an endearing yet convincing Sasquatch.
One of the most terrifying thoughts living in the woods....the hiking and then the wolf 😧😨😱

@@Geeklectica if I'm not mistaken, Rick baker left the howling to work on an American Werewolf in London
Very nice review! I love this movie! I snuck into the theater with my brother when it first came out. I was 10! Great memories!
I wish I had the chance to see it in the cinema, this is one of my all time favourite movies
This movie is absolutely flawless! And I love horror comedies!
Other than The Howling it's the only example that comes to mind of what a werewolf movie should be.
