    Life is a sojourn anyway, so that's pretty normal for one to move from one state to another (be it physical or not). Best wishes to your new journey, take it as a journey, one will never know where he/ she will be up to till the end of the day, but I reckon the best is always in the pursuit.

    The plants look amazing Joey, I had a similar problem with aphids this year but here in the UK its more difficult to obtain a good pesticide but managed thanks to a viewer. Good luck with your move to the UK and looking forward to seeing some more in-depth videos of carnivorous plants. Safe travels buddy.

    You made a very wise choice! UK has one of the most evolved CP communities, CPUK forum (at least when I was active) was so alive and found many friends. I am glad you didn't go to USA after all, the country has become a bit crazy and unpredictable right now. You can send plants from England comfortably to whole world. I used have a nursery in Prague and it was very convenient. I specialized in drosera and sent plants from Brazil to Japan with success. All I needed was a phytosanitary certificate for plants inspected periodically. I wish you all the best in your growing endeavors! : )

    Hi Joey, I now live in England in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The best carnivorous plant nurseries in England. Hampshire Carnivorous Plants Nursery and Hewitt-Cooper Carnivorous Plants Nursery. So come to the south of England, you'll be lucky with carnivorous plants. 👍😉

    I'm personally aiming to move to Portugal (from NL), to get my carnivorous plant thing going, amoungst other things. Not sure if I want a full blown nursery, but something small scale would be fun. Prices for living/energy etc in western Europe are insane, and I don't see that change soon, so growing stuff will get expensive, let alone being able to afford a place with the space to grow the plants. My advice for Europe: go south, work remote.
    Added annoyance for selling plants in the EU (think UK as well): the plant passport stuff is a pain to do for hobbyists, since can get expensive due to the inspecions. I'm still looking for a good website that properly explains it all, since I don't speak 'legalese'.

    • @TheFlytrapGarden
      @TheFlytrapGarden  2 роки тому +1

      So true, that’s why I’m looking at portugal too. Besides being a citizen there they have a lot of low cost living which makes it ideal for remote workers like ourselves. I wish the best for you in your future endeavors!

    When you get to England you should get in touch with this UA-camr Mick’s Masdevallia orchids He has a beautiful carnivorous temperate greenhouse ua-cam.com/video/nvn-9Bu3JPc/v-deo.html I am sure he will be able to help you with anything you will need with setting up a greenhouse specifically for carnivorous plants. I wish you luck and say I am sorry that its so difficult for a person to move to America. For all its issues it still is a great place to live.
