- Loading a John Deere 2154D log harvester on a lowboy. Watch this skilled operator load up this John Deere 2154D with Waratah harvester onto a lowboy trailer. This is a delicate operation with no room for error. I would not have the nerve to load it myself, this is best left to the professionals. This is such an interesting process and the display of skill is a sight to behold. The John Deere dangle head processor is wider than the trailer by almost 3 feet and takes a delicate touch to do it right. This operator performs it flawlessly. I'm interested in KNOWING how to load, but not sure I'm quite so interested in PRACTICING the skill!

Love the noise , diesel smell, and the rumble of the power. Could watch all day, Thanks!!
I hear you! I feel the same way. My wife's not so interested though. I bought a tandem gravel pup at the auction last week. Pulled it home yesterday after work and parked literally on the garage pad with 2 huge tiles loaded in the back. She got home after me and didn't notice it.
@@lovesloudcars That's funny!! Mine wouldn't notice if the house had burned down, but would want to know why the fire trucks were on the block! Thanks for your response
hey that was good loading. slow and steady wins the race.
Ya. That's what I thought. I love watching this stuff. I unloaded a rock truck the other day. You can't see a molecule of the trailer, just stay straight and drive off!
Takes a lot of patience to load them machines up
And nerves! It's one thing watching where you can see things, it's another thing altogether when you're sitting in the cab and can't see anything on either side.
Nice I Love Big Equipment and Trucks 😀😊 Good Driving and Skills are Required
Yup. He did well. Sometimes it's a bit like "get on with it man!" But not when it comes to stuff like that.
Good ole Alberta knowhow. Hey what’s with your weather? Nice in southern Alberta, thot you’d be driving around in the vette by now.
He did great hey?
We're looking like spring is here- kind of...
Lots of open ground on the fields, It looks like there's going to be hardly any run off at all, but the yard is still completely white. Today is the first time I've seen any water flowing.
Corvette : Bought a new radiator for the car. New rad and electric fans. Hopefully it will run little cooler. Sooo many projects on the go. Something up with the transmission on the right hand drive Nissan from the tire chains video too. I've got 3 others all with 5 speeds instead of automatic.
Shall I continue with the list?? But some cool or interesting things to edit and post as well.
Don’t forget the Chev Apache!
@@barnycanuck6234 People used to ask me "Do you still have that old black truck?" My reply was " Am I dead yet?" Still in the family anyway. But yes. I think some drone footage of it driving might be cool.
Why didn’t they drop the gooseneck? Instead of climbing over the back I would think that it’s safer more time consuming. But equipment ain’t cheap.
Good point. I'm not sure what his reasons were. I'll have to watch it again to see what type if it's a detached gooseneck or a scissor neck where you lift it with the winch.
Either way, good point. I've had a guy bring a machine to my place & dropped the detached neck & loaded off the front. I suspect time/ experience and comfort level.
@@lovesloudcars I’ve seen one operator climb the side of the low boy and spin his machine on the trailer. Scary to watch but it was quick
@@alanandtiffanypaige3616 gotta be pretty hard on the trailer rails you'd think hey? I've heard of guys doing that, but never seen it.
My dad watched a guy unload a D8 off the back of a 45 foot 16 wheel highboy years ago. That would be interesting..
I could watch this all day long. When I was a kid a friend had a relative with a yard full of heavy trucks & excavating equipment. We spend the weekends there watching them service & loading them
@@davidrubin1895 there's something cool about machines hey? I've been around them all my life, different sorts. Sawmills drilling rigs, farming and whatever else I don't know. I'd rather be where I am than working in a dentist office I can assure you.
Between computer problems stopping the ability to edit longer videos and being very busy with work, I'm collecting more videos than I'm managing to check off the list. ( which is kind of a good thing) .
Thanks for staying tuned. It's both fun to share and to connect with folks.
Is he the driver of the lowboy also?
What year is ur ‘Vette? When I was driving over the road I owned an ‘80 Vette. It was quite a change to go from an ‘86 Ford LTL 9000 down into a automatic Corvette. Later I sold it and got a beat up ‘78 silver anniversary and rebuilt the motor. it had a four-speed manual. Lotta fun that car, and since it wasn’t pretty I wasn’t afraid of thrashing on it lol.
in my opinion don’t worry bout “boring“ times in ur vids. we all have fast forward buttons and we’re not afraid to use them if we want to. I don’t because I might miss an lol moment.
The truck driver is the one who loaded it yes. I assume that the regular operator would probably be faster because he lives in it..
My car is a 69. But not stock body for sure. I bought it that way. 69 had a flat back window, mine's got a sloped one like the later years. Big block and changed out the 4 speed & put in a new tremec 5 with an overdrive. Haven't ever really used it because there's always something more important to work on. New replacement rad with electric fans waiting to be put in..
I have a friend at work selling a 78 if you're looking for another.
I usually like what I post, but sometimes I'm concerned about video length. I don't really enjoy extra long videos unless there's lots of good content, and don't want to always cross the line of "too long "
Can you tell me how much fuel you burn by hours with that processor?
I'll ask the operator. I'll send him message and hopefully he'll reply fairly soon with the answer and I'll let you know.
Here is the reply: Hello, the processor will burn different amounts depending on the size of the wood and if you have to fight to get decks appart! But a good ball park figure would be 20 to 25 litres Per/hr
Ok very good explanation, and it’s not too bad for that size of machine
Thanks
@@rottnesmv no problem. I see you have several logging ones posted. I'll have to watch them, I always enjoy logging equipment.

that's the link to the video posted of this machine working here. Barry is the operator who replied to your question about fuel consumption.
