@@spunbearing65keep telling yourself that. and if EVH were alive, standing next to him playing, gillis would look like satriani. 10 thumbs and child-like.
Brad has been one of my favorites ever since he replaced Randy Rhoads with Ozzy for the Speak of The Devil Tour. He did a helluva job stepping in for the great one.
When Night Ranger was down to a trio in the 90’s (Brad, Kelly Keagy and Gary Moon) Brad did it all including the 8-finger stuff. Not as good as Jeff but pretty dang good.
@@jacintofragoso1211 You are 100 percent correct about kids and their dexterity these days being incredible. I guess I was probably thinking more about the entire package though and not just the musical ability. And the fact he’s 66 and has not slowed down one bit incredible to me. ✌️
I don't know what's more bad-ass.... Brad Gillis still crushing it.... or that killer Jaxon he's rockin' ?? Dude has been bringing it for a long, long time. Killer player. And is just me... or do these guys seem great together? Some legit Pros right here... just bringing it. This is Rock & Roll !
I'm thinking Brad Gillis is in his mid 60's. I'm 67. My fingies won't do what my brain tells them to do anymore, but I get by. Brad has always been one to look up to...That will never change for me.👍
In no order. Brad Gillis, Steve Lukather, Neil Giraldo, and Eillot Easton, 4 men that can stand beside any of your all time greats and play lick for lick, and then some. Kept rock alive through the late 70's throughout the 80's and into the 90's and still today. All 4 are somewhat underrated by uninformed fans. Other musicians and every producer and record company executive wanted to work with them any time. All 4 could set in studio. Play a live gig with no notice. Collab with whoever needed it. Tour and be ready to work when 8pm red light came on. ❤. Great to see Brad killing it on stage.
Luke is on a ton of studio albums that run the gamut. My top two are Michael Schenker and Steve Howe. Tony Iommi has the best riffs and Michael Angelo Batio is really an awesome guitarist who has some of the greatest techniques and sweeping you will ever hear.
Im not going to tell Night Ranger that I love them. (Cause they don't want to be told that) I really, really like them though. Brad Gillis is a guitar animal.
Holy crap, he still looks amazing, and plays even better!!! I've liked them since their first album, but was never a huge fan...someting about their look, but if they were like this in the 80's, I would've liked them more, lol.
Night Ranger was all over Mtv, and the women liked them , too. Some great make-out and banging in the back seat music. Saw them at University of Maryland’s Ritchie Coliseum. Had tickets to see Ozzy with Randy two weeks after the accident. Brad of course replaced Randy. Brad was always king of the wammy bar. After that it was mainly Priest, Maiden and some Def Leppard, and if course YES and Michael Schenker.
As a teen in the '80s trying to play guitar, I was always aware of Brad. I won't go into detail, but I didn't really appreciate him at the time, thinking he only did little whammy bar and pinched harmonic tricks too much without soul to his solos. I was focused completely on George Lynch at the time. That dude spoke to me. But now I'm 53 and, while I still love George, I gotta say that I really dig 66-year-old Brad up there killing it! He didn't mail anything in this performance and I really appreciate that.
I met Dave at a Night Ranger concert in Phoenix in October. He told me he had been friends with the Night Ranger guys for a long time. He was super nice.
Brad is the coolest. Met him and the band after a show and he walked over to his standing guitar case and pulled out a pick and gave it to me. He is a Humble man. #1
Very cool. I saw Brad with Ozzy. I am and was a huge RRs fan, and had tickets to see him in Louisville KY, but if course he passed in the accident and they rescheduled the show and Brad was the guitarists and he did great. He's a nice guy too and really great great player of course. ❤
Brad is always phenomenal! Robert sounds amazing! Dave nailing it, Zach ripping it and Sobel always tight! Most everything I have seen from EVERYONE at that show was epic! Trunk put together a hell of a bash!
My cover band used to play this song and it was definitely one of the more FUN songs to play. We were lucky in that we had two guitarists that were capable of doing the dual leads and we had enough guys that could sing that we could cover all the harmonies. Definitely a rippin’ tune.
Ace Frehley was my first “guitar hero”, Brad was my first “shredder hero”….and he still is. I will admit, it’s sooooooo weird seeing him not abusing his red Strat 🤣
Here’s one for ya folks! Ozzy and Sharon would have Rob Mason on a touring retainer and in standby if Ozzy was not able to preform or if he blew out his voice. This the caliber or Rob’s singing capability.🤘🏼
Brad is a awesome guitar player. Totally underrated
He has never been underrated. He played for Ozzy you moron
Gillis is a monster on Guitar!
He’s better on the Floyd Rose than EVH ever was. Much smoother delivery.

Gillis always kills it. Cool how he played Jeff Watson's part.
Great performance! Everyone killed it, but Brad Gillis is just on another level. You can still rock in America!
Brad has been one of my favorites ever since he replaced Randy Rhoads with Ozzy for the Speak of The Devil Tour. He did a helluva job stepping in for the great one.
I still remember that, he deserves more credit than he gets! Can still rock for sure!!
his tremolo sound was new to me at the time
Same here. Brad’s work and Ozzy’s new hairless look were the hit of the night. Good times. 🤘
Saw the show. Brad was amazing. At the same time this was a few dates after the Florida crash and it really hung in the air.
I saw Randy in Detroit in February and brad in Ann Arbor in April. He played awesome in a very difficult situation.
DTMYLM solo is epic! Gillis is just a monster!! Love his work!!
Whoa! Brad played both his and Jeff Watson's solos! I was expecting him to let Zach take the second solo.
Well, if he can play Randy Rhodes solos... Come on?
@@hanc37 True. I've just never seen him do that one, because there has always been a second guitarist, even after Watson left, to trade solos with.
Hes an ass hole or he would have. Jeff was Light Years ahead of Brad's playing.
When Night Ranger was down to a trio in the 90’s (Brad, Kelly Keagy and Gary Moon) Brad did it all including the 8-finger stuff. Not as good as Jeff but pretty dang good.
Drummer is killing it also ! The whole group of guys is incredible! 😊
Brad Gillis is one of the best to ever do it
Brad is a certified guitar slingin stud. Guy could run circles around the kids today. 🤘🏼
I like Brad Gillis but these kids nowadays holy shit can they play
Brad was outstanding filling in for Randy at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on the Diary Of A Madman tour.

These guys are owning every inch of the room with the perfect balance of raw energy and expertise like few bands are doing any more.
I would certainly have to agree.
When you're as good as Gillis you can vogue as much as you like.
He is sensational
Yeah, he was hamming it up out there.
If you say so.
His vogueing is not near as good as his playing. He should stick to playing.
@@kaseybuckner8326 He's having fun. That's what matters. You remember how to have fun, right?

Brad Gillis. The most underrated guitarist in hard rock. My favorite 💯!
I had the honor of performing a few song with Brad with my band a few years ago. Amazing life experience.⚡🤘
Awesome!
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
His solo album from a while back is awesome!!!
I've never seen Brad Gillis playing a Jackson before. The guy is such a beast...
It is strange not seeing him with his red fender
It is not a Fender Guitar, it is a Fernandes Guitar.
@@Markusaldrich no he plays custom made fender strats has for years
@@leedouglass9636 OK, I know just Pictures and Videos with the Fernandes.
@@leedouglass9636In fact, Brad's original red '62 Fender strat had one of the original non-fine tuner prototypes Floyd Rose built in his garage.
Junior!! Kickass bassist! Peace Sells!!
Brads a freaking National treasure .
I saw Brad Gillis when he replaced Randy Rhoads in Ozzy's Diary of a Madman tour in Vancouver in 1982. Great guitarist.
HUGELY underrated guitarist Brad Gillis!!!
Dude followed Randy Rhoads fantastically and ever since has melted faces! Guitar god.

I just watch for the facial expressions....kidding...that rocked!
Damn that sounded good! Great seeing Ellefson! Miss that bastard!
Yes, that was unfortunate he got blackballed by Dave.
Unfortunate that he shows his junk to underage girls and he's married is more like it @@luvyesmusici4886

Not a big night ranger fan but I always loved that dual solo in this song. Brad Gillis can rip.
Great job Mason 🤘🏽

ブラッドギルス、カッコ良すぎるし上手い!
That was the shit!!

Brad nailed both solos in Don't Tell Me You Love Me, which is even more impressive as it seems they kicked up the speed a little too.
