Enjoy this episode of Kraft Suspense Theater, the Award Winning Television Suspense Drama Show that ran from 1940 - 1962. Many stars and writers got their start on this radio thriller show which was well written, directed, and acted. With plenty of intrigue and action, these radio plays are some of the best.
The Kraft Suspense Theatre is an American television suspense drama series that was broadcast from 1963 - 1965 on NBC. Sponsored by Kraft Foods, it was seen three out of every four weeks.
Later syndicated under the title Crisis, it was one of the few suspense series broadcast in color. While most of NBC's shows were in color then, all-color network line-ups did not become the norm until the 1966 - 1967 season.

These Kraft Theater episodes from the early '60s have great sets / clothing / furniture. Love looking back at all of the mid-mod.
The episodes are a good snapshot of the 1960s era
Yeah what's cool is that it's just the way it was. I was born in 1950 and it's so nostalgic, like being in my living room . ❤
This is exactly how my parents & friends were.
I loved that show as a child and was sorry to see it ended. It was so cool seeing different characters, situations and settings each week. I wonder if it got canceled because it was too expensive to produce.
This was a great TV show. Thankyou
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the episode. This series had a whole bunch of great episodes
Did you watch this... nobody will ever know
Yes. now everyone knows!
Eye know 2 now 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What great production this series was. Acting, sets, cinematography, etc.
You are right. This series had a history of having great in-depth scripts along with good acting and good direction. The end product was a show that people wanted to watch
If Jack Lord had not been available for Hawaii Five-O, I think Tom Tryon would have made a great Steve McGarrett.
Great writer, too. Handsome guy.
Tryon was also a successful novelist. He wrote, “Harvest Home”, and the wonderful “The Other”, both of which were made into really good TV movies
Before taking that role,Jack Lord was offered the role of James Kirk in Star Trek.He wanted residuals from merchandising so was passed.
@@David-yw2lv Yeah, Jack always drove a hard bargain, and it finally paid off for him with Hawaii Five-O. BTW, Richard Boone was offered the role of Steve McGarrett and turned it down, so Lord got the part.
@@lumberlikwidator8863 I never knew Boone was offered the role
Originally telecast on March 25, 1965.
1965. Such a long time ago and the episode withstands the test of time
That would have been almost the exact date my parents conceived me... Wow! RIP, Mom and Dad.
Ah, 1965, when I was 14! Great acting, writing and production. Thank you!
I was 8 years old, 3thd grade. All of the clothes, decor, etc very familiar. So long ago.
@@jenniferlloyd9574 Well, with THAT kind of TMI -- and were you blessed that they were 'still with us' -- you've set up your dear mother to quip to your dad -- both 'good sports' for sure -- to quip, "Dear, during what commercial break in that really good Tom Tryon episode did we conceive Jennifer?"
putting daddy first before hubby is unwise
In the 1950's

This is nice! Just like i remembered then from the era! Thanks for the uploads and memories! Peace
Thanks for watching
Thanks, but why don't you add a synopsis?
Another great episode! Thanks for bringing these videos for us to enjoy!
Glad you enjoyed this episode. Thanks for checking it out. This series was truly well produced. Now if we could just get the same level of quality in today's productions, that would be great
Love our "original" mustang. My sisters husband had one and one of my sisters-in-law had one back in our day. I don't like the ones of today!
You had one of the classic Mustangs. Today's models are very different
I agree.
It's a 1964 Galaxie in the show.
8:00, this actress played in a Bonanza episode “Breed of Violence.”
So much fun to see that eras furniture.. Clothing.. Cars hairstyles
The episode is like a time machine stepping back and seeing things the way they were
As far as clothing/cars/music
1948-1965 were my favorite
Pippa Scott is a knock-out 😍
Yes. She is attractive
I think she was. married to daddy.
48:44 - 49:05
Tha Alan parsons project by liam Sullivan.
The 👁️ in the Sky...
I like to just look at everything....furniture, cars, clothes.
Yes. Watching these episodes is like a time machine trip into the past so you can see what things look like and how people acted around them
I don't miss 2nd hand smoke 🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬 though.
Many people would light, and let burn
It made mouths acidic, so, you'd lose teeth, or lungs
I have always admired actor Tom Tryon and have seen him in many films & television shows but the flick that I most fondly remember him in was "I married a monster from Outer Space" 👍👍
Tom Tryon wrote The Other and Harvest Home, great horror novels both.
I liked him in an episode of The Big Valley, The Midas Man.
My favorite role of his was "In Harm's Way" as a young Navy officer.
@@jasonhurd4379Yes! “The Other” was made into a compelling movie which was very faithful to the book.
@jasonhurd4379 i thought the name sounded familiar...i love the movie version of The Other and i believe i read Harvest Home when i was quite young
0:30-
ED HERLIHY: *"KRAFT.....SUSPENSE.....THEATRE'!* Starring TOM TRYON...........in, 'Nobody Will Ever Know'!
Brought to you by KRAFT! *KRAFT-* for good food.....and good food ideas."
Yes. Let's have some of those Kraft good food ideas
What happens if you write them for the recipes today? Are they still at the same address?
Since that was almost 60 years ago, I think there'd be a different company behind that P.O. box number. 😉
16:22, a philosophical statement.
So good!
Thanks for watching
I am 71, I recognized and remembered that actor immediately even though I could not tell you his name.
Tom Strapon
People seemed to care more about their appearance back then.. wish they cared like that now.
I'd care, but there's nowhere to buy slacks and blouses with darts.
That’s Tom Tryon.
Tom Tryon, actor and author. Penned the magnificent horror story The Other.
Is there any way to fix the focus?
I try not to be crotchety about free entertainment, but, yes, the blurriness of this episode was especially distracting.
It is probably just the best print available. It's like that sometimes.
But God does
20:34, they use this building in a number of Crisis episodes.
Reusing filming locations is still done today
Alot of furniture and accessories too, but I'm sure they never dreamed anyone would watch 60 years later and scrutinize.
Wait -- that wasn't John Gavin???
He was considered for Gavin’s part in Psycho
Yes
Thanks for these Kraft Suspense Theater episodes. I loved that show and was glad to have your channel on my feed, I just subscribed! 😊
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the episode. This series is a great example of the quality television that Hollywood could produce back in the day. We need more quality scripts, story lines, acting, and direction in the shows that are being produced today
Another good one! Was curious the entire time about how it was going to end. Thomas "Tom" Tyron was so handsome. I mostly remember him from TV westerns and had no idea until today that he was "in the closet." He was only 65 when he sadly passed away. Thanks for the upload. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching. Glad you liked the episode. This is one of those where you just aren't sure of how it will turn out until the end
@@VoicesOnCall How very kind of you. But you failed to correct "mcpheejesus5945"'s error: It's Tom Tryon -- NOT Tyron -- which a supposed 'fan' should know.
So is that where The Alan Parsons Project came from?😂
Parts of that same musical motif will be used only a couple of years later in The Invaders.
Did you mean The Outcasts?
An ad every 5 minutes is unacceptable. I stopped halfway through.
Sometimes the UA-cam algorithms end up putting far too many ads into the videos. Other times it is just one or two ads for the entire video. Videos with only one or two ads shown are much better
When you get on youtube turn off adblock and than turn it back on and you will block the ads
Wow I didn’t get one ad
I didn’t have any ads..UA-cam premium is awesome!!!
Get UA-cam Premium. It is worth it.
12:27, “….m.o.n.e.y. it breaks the worst habits, dismisses useless fears.”
Spoken Like a true Devil!
Ive been honest and reasoned through about who I think is responsible for the cause of the matter...and that the deal should be altered to reflect it. Too tired to argue any further about it.
45:05, Tom and his wife try to get away in a car.
Hard to be sympathetic toward him. Can’t control his home, his drinking, his temper, his mouth, his morals…
But I like the KRAFT programs.
Weak VHS Tape?
I liked it
@@rafaelramirez1507 Was good just low qulity
I remember these being shown locally after Monday Night Football games.
This was one of those shows where the family gathered around the television and looked forward to watching the newest episode each week
Couldn’t finish this one , 5 minutes in and it just doesn’t stay in focus and I was getting a headache do to it . On to the next one .
Tom Tryon died at the age of 65 of stomach cancer.
Yes ...I do
I wonder if this show inspired the name of the Alan Parson's Project?
Good question. I wonder about that
The quality of this one is poor..pretty unwatchable
I don’t care for this episode it sucks 💤
Really? I thought it was fair, but not one the best episodes of Kraft Suspense Theatre.
Ever notice that on the internet too many people don't bother to give the reasons behind their big, loud claims? They just blurt.
@@marcsmirnoff936 Yeah, like that sophomoric Comment from a certain "acastrohowell."
Unlike 99% of performers, Tom Tryon was an accomplished writer of best selling novels that were optioned by the studios and turned into noteworthy movies plus he penned original scripts for longform television projects, so understandably he would be more judgemental and selective of 'quality' written material -- of which he considered "Nobody Will Ever Know."
Good episode
Yes. This is one of the better episodes
Why is that yester years movies.. Music... Sports.. Everything was so much better
It does sometimes seem that when we look back at things in the past, we did not realize how good things were
I’m sorry but for kids especially it wasn’t better . I grew up in the 60’s and remember the adults drinking and smoking and basically not caring about us ( second hand smoke etc ) Women too were not treated well ; ugh .
It depends on the status and the location of the person it was better for...though the prices were nicer
Wondering when the meme voiceover “Nobody’ll ever know” makes an audio appearance.
Scorchio
I haven't seen the end yet, but I keep thinking this fool is hell-bent on failing his Kobayashi Maru test.
I love these shows!
Glad you like this series. Thanks for checking out the videos. Kraft Suspense Theater was a great example of back in the day when quality television mattered
20:10, a harsh statement!
Great music by this Johnny Williams guy...I really hope he made it in the business.
Very funny. He did start out doing the scores for all kinds of TV series before he went on to be a master in his field
C R I S I S
You are correct. This series was originally known as Crisis and was rebranded as suspense theater when the sponsorship changed
Was happy to see him stand up and take control of his life!
Never any children!
❤❤❤❤
Great series
Glad you liked the episode. Thanks for watching. Check out the other episodes in the playlist since this series had many really good episodes
25:35, a party get together with Tom.
