I have traveled a lot on German rail. On the long distance trains, the ICE, you must reserve your seat when you book, even in 2nd class let alone the 1st. No way a 1st class ticket did not have a reserved seat.

I have traveled a lot on German rail. On the long distance trains, the ICE, you must reserve your seat when you book, even in 2nd class let alone the 1st. No way a 1st class ticket did not have a reserved seat.
