Thank you for these super tips. I wondered, does the plate need to be the same diameter as my hat brim or will making the petersham curve help it work on most size brims?
Good morning, Please I have a question It's quite different 😔 I am supposed to make a very wide brim hat that I have to cover with a fabric I used two layers of sinamay and stiffened it The brim wasn't strong after adding the fabric even when I wired My question is what did I do wrong?? Is there any other alternative to sinamey??
Hi, Only lightweight fabric works well over sinamay, and then you also have to stiffen the fabric. I do show covering buckram with fabric in this video ua-cam.com/video/ALiCx4gFU0o/v-deo.html which is the method I use
Thx from San Francisco Bay Area dear.
You are brilliant, you teach very simple so I understand, thanks Margaret Redmond from Ireland
Thank you 😊
This is so helpful. I looked for a good video on this back at the beginning of the pandemic and found very little useful content.
Thank you Rachel, yes I am trying to do lots of short but helpful tutorials.
Thank you so much for all your tips and techniques!
Great tips! Thank you.
Beautiful video

It works best if the same size, but a bit smaller will work as well.
