I understand people not feeling aligned with speed but its no where written classical music is only about pathos ,peace and divinity. Its how it has been propagated but thats thought process ,nothing else. This performance was way more controlled in terms layakari n speed. And its pathetic how young artists like him gets targetted by the audience just cz they cannot connect maybe due to their own ability or diff mindset idk and older artists are glorified for doing similar things.. as if niladri ji invented taankari n layakari. Dont get me wrong , i respect our past legends but its the hypocrisy of some listeners that bugs me
@@deepranjanghosh1851 This kind of appreciation started in the West with Tabla. The accompanist became the star, for example Zakir Hussain. The modern listener likes fireworks and Tabla supplies a lot of that.

Budhaditya mukharjee,Anupama bhagwat,shujaat Khan,Shahid Parvez... they're all so much better than him...way better...such a pity that he's so overrated 🙄😔😪..personal opinion..but think over it
Niladri has a vision , understanding of the audience's pulse , he can play both gayaki ang and tantrakari . People are just here to hate who don't follow traditional approach. None of the sitarists u mentioned are from maihar . They are all from imdadkhani and etwah, so you need to understand the diff of gharana also before passing such comment . He is an esteemed artist and has earned his spot due to his approach to music.

It's called appreciation. People in India also call out at passages they like pushing the performer to go to even greater heights.
