I thought it was bad because it didn't let you focus on each scene individually

@@greyman8335 it is kind of warm and hot. Maybe refers to the TARGARYEN family. KING'S landing always feels warm, even in GOT before Daenerys visit to the red keep
@@dorianleclancher6220 it's even better than GOT, which looked very realistic but clean, here the color palette does really set that eerie atmosphere. These things are not so easy to explain with words, you just have to look by yourself and judge.
@@dorianleclancher6220 when i read ASOIAF and fire and blood , thats what i imagined the world to be , the vibe is midevil times with a tone of warmth to it and dream like haze but still clear and HD(hope that answered it)
I like how the 2 showrunners complement each other, Miguel Sapochnick is a beast when it comes to directing however, it seems without Ryan Condal much of the stuff in the books would've been left out. Then Ryan Condal is literally on PhD level with George's World but he needs Miguel Sapochnick to vividly put the story on screen.
Best of both worlds
I would actually say they elevate each other. Miguel might have a vision and Ryan describes it to him as it is in the books then Miguel's imagination goes wild.

Yeah while watching the show I noticed the cinematography and realized there was no way they DIDNT build it. It jus looked way too practical to be cgi, and they had some very deep and appreciative shots of the landscape/arena so it just made sense. I'm so happy they did though.

Even after dozens and dozens of behind the scenes clips from various shows and movies, it still surprises me just how much work goes into every single scene.
Exactly it takes too much dedication to make all these with minute details just capture it on camera...cinema is really different world❤

It’s all about the CGI but I’m getting really excited by the glimpses of the extras’ costumes!
Cgi is very yellowish u only see yellow every face is yellow everything is cloudy in this season

I was really impressed with the jousting shown in the first episode. I wonder if they hired actual jousting competitors, because it looked legit! I didn't watch the main season, but I'm interested in giving this one a try!

@@sfjlfkjsdlfkjds I'm not going to lie. Even if I felt that season 7 was quite unchained in essence, there are so many iconic moments. I can't say the same about season 8, the only real good thing was the music. Ramin Djawadi did it awesome
@@braianramirez3337 Season 6 started the downfall, but we had hope. Season 7 guaranteed it wasn't going to be as good as we all hoped, but Season 8, wow, what a mess.

After hearing that jon snow will have a spin-off sequel in the form of a season 9 this will only make me happyer. If the show prison break has managed to come up with a new season after so many years, the best series of all time can do this too to get a redemption arc.

I really like the actor portraying Viserys. Paddy Considine is doing an amazing job. I think Viserys is a good king. He cares to be liked and that's what makes him a good king.
If he doesn't care what the public thinks of him, then the people in the Seven Kingdoms are in trouble. You have to care to be liked or you end up ruling like Joffrey or Cersei. It's like Homelander still self-conscious with his public image.
The cuts he's getting from the Iron Throne could be a sign that they're rejecting him. It's not poison. It's not greyscale. It's not from Otto or Daemon. The other theory is a sign of his declining health which happens in the book.
After Viserys dies, all hell will break loose. The Dance of the Dragons begins..
That chair cuts kings all the time, it's written in the book, it's not some symbolism to show that people don't accept him
The worst char in this show. Wig doesn't fit and he looks almost like from the budget youtube parody. Nowhere near close to the Mark Addy, Sean Bean, Charles Dance or Michael McElhatton. NOWHERE NEAR. Every actor and actress in this show look stiff. It's.. horrible.
@@UniversalMaster0 it is a symbolism though that the chair is not accepting him and that he's not fit to be king anymore. they mention this in the book a lot that when a king gets cut on the iron throne that means that they are not worthy or fit to be king.
viserys is not a good king at all. they talk about it a lot in the book, but you can just tell from the show as well. the old king jaehaerys was an amazing king, who brought about the golden age of targaryens. but viserys was spoiled from that and led the seven kingdoms down the drain. he even says in the show that he married not for the kingdom but for selfish reasons like love. viserys' the king that starts the whole dance of the dragons, which leads to the ultimate downfall of the targaryen dynasty.

Observations and theories on this episode: I think the juxtaposing the tournament with the childbirth scene was done to show and contrast what Queen Aemma told Rhaenyra at the start of the show --- "childbed is our battlefield". Daemon "winning" and celebrating the tournament only to be defeated shortly after was an allegory/metaphor to his brother Viserys' experience after he finally produced a male heir but then it lasted equally as short as Daemon's victory. Also, my theory is Daemon didn't actually fashioned baby Baelon as "The Heir for a Day" but it was either his lover or one of the Kingsguard who said it and he is probably just protecting her/them so he just took responsibility when Viserys asked him to confess. It's obvious that he wants to be King but I think he truly loves his brother and would only want the iron throne through natural succession. Well, at least before Viserys banished him from the court. I think Viserys made a mistake.
It would be great if warner/discovery made a theme park of this place 😍🤩

Rewatching last season of GOT on HBO while waiting for the next episode of HOD. If only possible that some of the characters from GOT play roles in HOD that would be amazing. Missed the old casts ❤️ Sorry to say but Dany is so BETTER Targaryen. Of course I love the new one. Ahhhhh can't get over with the previous characters 😭❤️🔥

The two things GOT shits on every show & is above all others , is development production & post-production. They're budget is so big that I don't think any show could compete in that category
Serving Daenerys as much as she deserves. Mentioning her in the beginning as well as when Rhaenyra is being told about the army of the dead and how a Targaryen must sit on the throne when it comes. If only those criminals didn't kill the show like they did fulfilling Daenerys destiny to have the throne and destroy the army of the dead, and have her being killed by Jon after displaying acts of madness.

The jousting tournament was an excellent idea for generating action during times where action is minimal. I'd love some more innovative ideas like this which would showcase medieval society in this universe.
