I remember that show. At the end they were succeeding this one tongue twister. And the hosts wanted them to screw up. But kept succeeding the one tongue twister. And so the crowd began clapping in rhythm as it started to sound like a song. The guy in red said something else. Like lyrics to a different song. And immediately the trap went off. I never had such a good laugh in a long time.
Well, solving the puzzle made him the king of games, and that meant more than just a children's card game. In the manga, before the series focused on a single game the series calls duel monsters but we call yugioh, it was about Yugi, or rather the Pharoah(the spirit inside the MP), playing games against all kinds of scummy people, ranging from a common thief to a freaking terrorist. The criminals would experience a fitting punishment if they lost the game. The Pharoah was knowledgeable about most games, and was skilled enough to pick up any game on the fly that he didn't know. So i can definitely see him winning, though someone's gonna suffer a karmic punishment if he wins. The manga had absolutely zero chill.
The "machine" at 4:36 is what Gaki team calles "chinko machine". Basically yeah, it slaps the family jewels. First guy is.. well was named back at that time Yamasaki Hosei (changed his name to Tsukitei Hosei later), second guy who got slapped is Endo Shozo. Guy with whistle is Masatoshi Hamada. Guy who was crouching and laughing his backside off is Hitoshi Matsumoto. They're from Gaki No Tsukai, absolutely hilarious TV series, especially famous are their "No laughing" batsu games, various challenges. Man, I need to rewatch their series again, great stuff.
@@theunlikeyou Yup, they basically had to read the show's title card as fast as they can without screwing up. Look up "Gaki no Tsukai" if you wanna see more.
@@cXspXr Oh yes, Gaki No Tsukai is all about it and they've been doing it for decades. They have many different shows and episodes, for example this same "chinko machine" was used also in their food tasting game. Player tastes the main sample and then the rest of the team provides several same types of food but from different maker and player needs to taste it and then say if tasted one is the one or not. If they guessed correctly, they won money. If they messed up - "chinko machine" (and many other punishments, they're super creative). It's especially hilarious when they egged the player on, letting him think that he's right and just as he expect a big check with money, he gets a slap into family jewels. Or something else. And their Silent Library games and what not else. Crazy and funny. But their most famous series is, by far, their New Year Batsu games, where they cannot laught for 24 hours straight. If they laugh, they get instant punishment. And of course production team does whatever they can to make them laugh. Man, the episodes where Yamazaki (Tsukitei) later got slapped hard while prancing around in his g-string.. Laughed so hard that it hurt for two weeks after.
13:08 I remember the US had their own version of this in the 2010's. It was on cartoon Network when they were doing their live-action faze, I think it was called Hole in the Wall and it was identical to the Japanese game show shown here
5:55 this is Japanese tire testing they literally take tires and roll them down the hill to gauge balance distance speed but it’s literally how they test tires
Omg! You have no idea how wild Japanese gameshows are. And I promise you. These are not even the best ones. The best one I can recommend watching is called "24 hour Endurance Tag" You don't even need to understand a word of Japanese. But you will laugh SOOO hard!
The game at 4:40 looks to be a recreation from the ending of an anime, where theres 5 girls singing a name, which is kinda like a "folk meme" and tounge twister at the same time. The name is from a much older story about parents who didnt know what to name their kid, so they gave the kid every name. If they mess up saying the name fast enough they get the gooch buster swung up at the jeweles.
Definitely recommend watching Gali no tsukai’s batsu no laugh games! They’re HILARIOUS. They have to go 24 hours trying not to laugh as much as possible and they’re setup by friends and family 🤣
If you really want to watch some crazy stuff from Japan, react to some Japanese commercials. There are TONS of compilations. Also, I'm kind of surprised the show "Dero" didn't show up in this video.
You guys definitely should react to Japanese horror game shows. I've seen 1 a long time ago, where they had a abbandoned hospital (don't know if it was a real one or if they made it themselves), but it was kind funny. And i guess for the ppl participating it was actually scary. They had a lot of ppl involved and actually had scary things happening. I believe they even had a elevator go nuts.
I've been watching craziest moments from different children game shows and there's a lot of stuff to react to those moments. Hopefully we'll be able to see them in order on the next video.
I feel like Hole in the Wall was fairly popular in that some countries adopted it. But I don't think any of them had as much staying power as the OG. And since we're on the topic of Japanese game shows, Gaki no Tsukai stuff would be a cool reaction, honestly.
yall I know you guys probably can't watch it at all but I have to say it. there's a show that used to air on ABC on saturday nights in my home state called I Survived a Japanese Game Show. The whole plot premise was that a bunch of American people were taken to japan to compete on a Japanese game show and do weird challenges for weird rewards but the thing that made it so funny was just half of the things the contestants would have to do as challenges. 100% feel like yall would enjoy watching it it's actually available on youtube in it's entirety and it's absolutely hilarious
The guy at 8:00 and the guy on the first clip in the corner are the same dude. Hitoshi Matsumoto, he is part of a duo comedian known as Downtown. Popular show Downtown's Gaki no tsukai. Gaki no tsukai mean (crude translation) we arent errand boys.
" I have this asian friend" " When he hits a certain amount of drinks, he passes out" " I'm pretty sure he's eleven" Out of context these 3 sentences could ruin everything 😂
I am so glad that Japan exists. Some of the best things ever made are from there. Anime, Ramen, sushi, playstation and even some of my favorite movies and video games were made by studios based in Japan. So thank you Japan for all the amazing things you have given us over the years.
1. The pizza one I remember it seeing on TV. If I remember it correctly, the guy was a frisbee champion and they made him do some trickshots with the last being that pizza one. 5:10 They need to read a tounge twister and the person who misreads or fail it gets a smack to the balls. 6:00 They are experimenting hence the lab coats, on how far the tires can jump (air time). 15:50 The subs were off. Didn't made sense. They just need to get pass the figures. Basically was right. Most have no cash prizes. All the "contestants" are either regulars or guests in the show. They just do it for content.
This reminds me, y'all need to react to a japenese game show where they aren't allowed to laugh, I do not know the japanese name but my friends called it "don't laugh". And then there's another one called silent library where you have the same cast.
Y'ALL NEED TO DO NINJA WARRIOR FAILS (like the ninja warrior that used to run back in the day on G4). At least Mr. Octopus' Greatest Run that shit's hilarious
1:37 Marcel must’ve gotten into Scotty’s stash cause that is 100% just a regular microwave with the door open.
yeah, we see the pizza hit the door
lol %100 right
I like how immediately invested you guys got into each show
13:08 I remember watching the american version of this gameshow on cartoon network as a kid, it's called hole in the wall
Me too.
Hell yeah!
Same here. I was just looking through the comments, seeing if anybody else remembered watching it on cartoon network
Oh my god! I really missed that old game show and the other ones too but they should have brought them back
@@kane0162 I remember on both Cartoon Network and on FOX (Primetime)
5:05 they did indeed have to read something, but they were tongue twisters, and they had to do it without messing up or they got groin shot lol
I never had such a good laugh in a long time.
the shapes one was brought over the the US and a short lived show called "hole in the wall" some great clips from that
I used to watch Gaki no Tsukai when the translation came out. Their 24 hour endurance tag punishment was peak comedy from them.
Of course first clip includes Gaki no tsukai cast
Downtown is the best.
Such a good show
I love their "24 hour endurance tag" I never cried so hard while laughing in my LIFE!
Mmm yes indeed the gwak gwak cast
Legends
When that pizza had the slow mo all I could hear was "there goes my hero" 😂
Yugi Muto managed to solve the Millennium Puzzle, so figuring out the right position to slip through those walls should be easy for him.
Well, solving the puzzle made him the king of games, and that meant more than just a children's card game. @@theunlikeyou Yup, they basically had to read the show's title card as fast as they can without screwing up. Look up "Gaki no Tsukai" if you wanna see more.
wait so you're telling me there's a japanese "impractical jokers" essentially? that sounds amazing.

This completely reminded me the show MXC, with the english voice over the japanese game show

On nick I think
I remember watching it when it was airing on cartoon Network
Man this takes me back to middle school when there were the 4 minute comps online
1:09 thats the best reaction/emotion they've done yet in all of their react series. And its to a pizza going into an oven. Lmao
