- We're continuing our Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 trial combo journey!! Today we take on Vergil and Phoenix Wright! I really love Phoenix Wright, he's a really creative and unconventional character design with some really fun combos too, so I hope you enjoy the video!!

To be fair, that super is full screen AND has virtually no startup time, so it's pretty adaptable in just about any scenario.

The rules for Phoenix Wright's Hold It/Objection stun are:
5 hits in Investigation Mode
3 hits in Trial Mode
2 hits in Turnabout Mode
Not sure how exactly it counts the Hold Its/Objections when you change stances in between the hits, but it seems like it just stores the number of hits you did in the previous mode you were in and counts them as if you hit them while in the current mode. For example, in the last trial you hit one Hold It in Investigation Mode, another two while in Trial Mode and that stunned, so it seems like the rules for Trial Mode where applied in the end even though the first hit was in Investigation Mode
Phoenix Wright's Questioning, Cross-Examination and Pursuit attacks all deal stun damage that add to a hidden stun meter.
Questioning-25% Stun
Cross-Examination-45% Stun
Pursuit-65% Stun
To combo into a dizzy, any of these moves need to be used in the right places of a combo. Such as mission 10. 25+45+45=115. So that will stun. Hope that all makes sense!
This helps a lot! I’ve always wondered why that works.

My main team was: Phoenix Wright, Dante, and Vergil. A lawyer with his two demon bodyguards. Start with Phoenix, get your clues filled out and your objection ready and then switch to Vergil and go ham. Try to keep 3 bars for Wrights ultimate. Great team, you should try them out!
They should have kept this cell shaded artstyle and kept it 3v3 instead of 2v2. Then marvel infinite wouldnt have been such a flop

Gotta hand it to Phoenix Wright, for having one of the more creative and out there Level 3’s. Gathering evidence to build it up and then laying down the evidence in the style of Ace Attorney is so damn funny to me.
Vergil is also up there in terms of Level 3s. It’s not a specific reference to Devil May Cry 3 or the series as a whole but man is it sick, so many great camera angles going into Devil Trigger then taking Yamato out for multiple slashes make it an awesome looking Super, regardless of how you feel about Vergil in this game.
This game's combos look way to complicated for me, but I just had to see a lawyer and his geeky sidekick fight superheroes with paperwork and shouting xD

I think you will have trouble if you ever fight a main Vergil player, you think Jill is fast? Wait until you get teleport-comboed through the entire map, and i think you will find his spiral swords very problematic.

Phoenix Wright's stun happens when you land 3 Hold It!'s. In Trial Mode, at least.
Turnabout Mode, I believe it only takes two Objection!'s.
Note, I don't play the game myself (i am terribad at fighting games), but I love watching a ton of UMvC3, plus a streamer I watch plays Phoenix Wright and I recall this being said. I know it is not random and happens after a certain amount of shouts, tho.
Best training mode? Try skullgirls or blazvlue continuum shift trials.

Normal attacks are the size of trucks, block stun for days, deals very high damage with meter, and combine meter with Lv.3 X factor turns him into Satan.

What the other guy said on top of making his own incoming mixups with roundtrip and the fact that once he activates swords he takes half the screen and you are forced to block for two seconds
Helm breaker is also not only mad fast and safe on block, unless you chicken block it, but with x factor it's the easiest confirm into a TOD, and on top of that Vergil's level 3 x factor lasts longer than normal for whatever reason
Vergil just has the perfect tools to be the best anchor in the game
