Things to remember: “Tell me about yourself”
It is the most critical question in any interview.
It is your chance to steer the interview as you want.
Don’t present facts about yourself, your scores & numbers are already in the forms.
In other words, don’t recite facts - Make it conversational.
Talk about your family and background.
Focus slightly on why you want to do an MBA.
If there is something unique about yourself, then definitely talk about that.
And finally, remember that it is a pitch and not just an answer.

Sir, please don't take personally or in a wrong way ... I really admire your communication skills and your vocab and English is at such a level which I can only dreamt of. Your thought process for any problem is rational, clear and to the point. You are an IIT M + IIM B product. So why don't go for consultancy like BCG or a corporate job in a MNC? Why coaching ? I wonder ! Other people who are teaching coaching don't have such a good communication skills and tag. You know !

What is the reason behind such a gap?
Actually sir he was preparing for engineering related exams but unfortunately couldn't make through those examinations and later came to know that his interest lied on management and he found those things to be interesting.

I have a work ex of 31 months in the financial industry and did my under graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Chances of asking academic questions for someone with 31 months experience is really less.
But, try to cover at least some important topics.

Sir, I kinda felt the answer had some 70-80% talking about 'why mba'. Well, if I were part of the interview panel, I'd have felt you're probably answering the next questions in the list too. I've always found it difficult to stop seamlessly at that point and move on to the next topic.
