Watched the movie on the first day of the first show only for pawan
Very honest, hard hitting and impactful CLIMAX but overall the movie didn't give the thrill that you usually get from the Pawan Kumar movie, The movie is very dim and it's not a theatre movie, it's just a one time watchable ott movie. Sorry to say this I'm not satisfied by the overall product 😕
Pawan Kumar had made a social content short film, starring Sindhu Loknath! This was many years ago. It was about passive smoking. Now he has made that movie. Seems like he has got a personal interest and how much he is concerned
After getting Gulto film success next day said he will do second part😂
I feel this is a better movie compared to all the movies released in recent 1-2 months all over India, a thriller movie with good message. Don't believe reviews, i don't know why so much hate in the reviews, kannadalle nodi, dialogue chennag bardidare

It’s one of the best projects and is a must watch
It is well crafted movie. The song in pre climax really emoted me and I really loved overall movie...Good that I didnt visit for reviews before watching. Otherwise it would have ruined my experience. Picking simple plot and weaving such nice story around it is simply superb. It was engaging, made me emotional and pushed me to new thought process at the preclimax song. It would really make people think especially those who is becoming father soon and smoke. Their experience at the climax would be entirely different comparing to other general audience.

Watched it with family (wife and 2 kids )in Nexus Forum Mall Koramangala.
Vey disappointed to witness the English subtitles of Malayalam movie dialogues for Kannada version.
Also saw Malayalam news scrolling in background of a scene.
Disappointed to see the Big time miss of impactful /tight screenplay and felt like some other Director had worked on this good story .
Dialogues were not convincing and didn't fit to the characters and scenes.
No doubt the concept and thought process is unique.But felt like scattered and lacked soul .
Expected a better entertainment because of the packaging in the movie and confidence in Pawankumar's potentiality .
Technically also dint work for me and had waited for the Nicotine(earlier name in 2014) to happen from very long time .
Probably a fresh star cast would have been better ,Since dint get to see much of scope for the performance to the actors ..
Sorry this is my honest unbiased personal opinion as an admirer of cinema (art form ) as a whole and nothing else .
Least promotion of the movie and hardly crew members spoke about the movie openly before the release.
I sensed like have wasted (2200 rs )huge money and time of 7 hours (including travel time) .
This will be an another set back to movie watchers in theatre .
I couldn't watch the whole movie (in Malayalam) as there was a projector failure in the movie house. It has received mostly negative reviews from Malayalam reviewers.
Final comment is really true.... Without expecting I went to watch this movie....it's really satisfied!

The reason he said that is because you lose the essence of the original when you translate. Thats common sense. There are a lot of things you cannot directly translate from Kannada to English and vice versa. The origin and script are different. There are cultural elements that get lost. Idharalli geli maado vishaya yenidhe? Try going outside Karnataka and crack jokes; you might either look like an idiot or offend somebody else if you don't get the context right!
Only intellectual people can understand pavan's movie.
This is wrong branding. This makes the director get away with anything and everything they do. There are general audience who watch for entertainment purpose too.

See many people going out of the theatre actually movie will complete understand at the end only have patience and watch last 30min make everyone silence. It will hunt badly when u coming back . Enumodali song sequence is the soul of the movie. Have patience watch till end and draw the conclusion. Movie is good don't expect mass stuff and unnecessary comedy in Pavan movies. Hats up to Fahadh to accept this. Though acting space is not much he did well

That' why Sandalwood had to wait till 2018 to get first 100 cr movie whereas mollywood got first 100 cr movie in 2016 .Note that the population of Karnatka is 7 cr and that of Kerala is 3.5 cr

Tbh even uturn dint impact as much as Lucia.
I was able to guess the story of dhoomam close to the release.
I guess Pawan wanted to release it only in Malayalam. Maybe he was forced to do it PAN India due to Homabale banner.
Once in a bluemoon even Kairam Vashi fails to analyse a movie properly.
That is the brilliance of Pawan Kumar. Don't miss it in theatres and judge for yourself. Don't believe these reviewers. Not even this Kairam Vaashi...

ASN was far far better movie than Vikrant Rona,kranti ,Kabza,Pogaru kind of movies. They are not stick to stereotype movies like other actors ,only Hombale is successfully producing different genre movies right now in KFI.

@@surajbsgatty9547 ASN and Vikrant Rona were on similar levels. Both tried a free hand exploitation of the new pan India market, with mediocre content. But yes, not many movies can match the crapness levels of Kabzaa, Pogaru, Kranti, however even ASN, Vikrant Rona are a bad influence to a growing demand of parallel cinema with content emphasis in the industry. VR was great only in its 3D aspects, beyond which other cinematic aspects were all eyewashes in that movie.

Movie has gotten 100% bad reviews. And 100% have heavily criticized Pawan Kumar's writing and direction. Worse, has some Malayalam extra as lead. This was Dead On Arrival written all over it. Three flops in a row for Hombale and KRG.
Writing could have been better. 2nd half is slow and boring. Somehow its not good movie. Every day is not sunday for Hombale movies. Sorry

Malayalis can’t connect to the characters or to the dialog delivery , this would have been better if it was made in Kannada with Kannada actors, the sensibilities were misplaced , otherwise a decent movie
