If you go and change any of the settings in that 0.2 profile, the little save icon on the top right of the profile selection will turn white, allowing you to save a new profile :)
i am new with 3d printing got myself a K1Max installed the Print 5 version but after doing everything i mean once the slicing is over and i want to up load the file to cloud or save the file on harddrive the popup window is just huge and stuck to the top of the bar and bottom three buttons that actually get the job done cant be seen so i am stuck unable to get the print any help
@LayerLabAustralia its everytime I tried restarting the system and run the software again from zero sliced and again tried to generate the thing but again the popup is still the same
I have version 5.1 and when i get to the LAN print, it won't let me choose the printer or check the calibration button, and then it just locks up. I hae the Ender'-3 V2 Neo printer . I'm a brand new user and am very frustrated that I've spent hours and countless videos trying to print anything.
Hi Christina :) I don't think your printer has the ability to connect to Creality Cloud via wifi, unless you have a rasberry pi? I would suggest buying a nebula pad, they come with a nebula camera too so you can monitor your prints. Dayum! I wasn´t even searching this video but I´m glad I saw it and watched it, I truly learned good stuff, like the pause to change filament (which I use A LOT). But now that I´m here I would like to ask (the main reazon I clicked on your video): All my prints start and end with a default temp of 230°C; I can´t find the setting to modify that other than change the temp manually on the printer or the software
Glad you found it helpful! So you just want to change the default temp? The top right of the screen you will see some coloured boxes with your preferred plastic (PETG/PLA/ABS/ETC) you will probably only have one of these coloured boxes, click the little down arrow and it will allow you to change the plastic type/printing temp plus a few other settings. Hope this has answered your question
Glad the video helped! If you are after something a little more complicated, you will have to use a 3D modelling program/CAD software to do it. You can use Blender (it's free), this is a video that has helped me a lot - ua-cam.com/video/lc3d0pM2fpo/v-deo.html
thanks for the tips. Can you say more about retraction settings? I have big problems with stringing on my models, but there are few tips on current version of creality, which have different settings as i see...
Still no idea on how to accurately use the retraction test on here...I keep asking but I get no response. Will make a video as soon as i find out! For the meantime, if you are suddenly getting lots of stringing, it may be time to replace your nozel. I was starting to get heaps of stringing, replaced the nozel, good to go. Went back to the default retractions settings and am happy as larry :P
@@LayerLabAustralia ok, thanks, will replace it. It is dirty indeed. Hope atleast that will help. By the way, i found some retraction settings at filaments parametrs. If you edit filament, in "setting overrides" will be retraction things. I didnt try it, but maybe that what you searched
@@LayerLabAustralia I've contacted creality support because of the slicer issues because all the profiles that I created messed up somehow, the slicer speed was 300mm/s but printed at around 40mm/s and other issues... First thing they said that it is my fault. Next letter (different person i guess) told me that the app is in BETA so just wait for the update. And the third letter, they've sent me creality 5.1 before the update was released which was much worse than 5.0 was at the time :D I just wanted to share some issues so they would know, but they started defending themselves for some reason :D
@@christopherismcaceas4868 i'm also getting the speed issue, you want it to be one speed but it prints at another... way i found around that was to just start from scratch with a default filament profile and recreate it... now I can't adjust my speed AT ALL with the new update. lewl. We are in the boat together :P
@@LayerLabAustralia So far on version 5.1 I only created 2 profiles for filament ant 2 for settings. If I do not touch the printer settings nothing resets anymore ;d
Creality print still does not know how to put a model flat on the print bed if you choose a flat surface as the bottom layer. Failed on both the model I tried , one being a flat round coaster holder and the other a trestle railway bridge with many straight flat struts - should be simple - every other slicer I tried was able to do that.
I just updated to 5.1 and I still only have one printing profile for my KE (standard 0.2) Am I missing something?

The slicer is still a bit glitchy, often just closing and reopening will fix it, or does it happen every time you try to do it?

@ found it! Thanks a lot!
Does this have organic supports ?
It does :D You just have to enable advanced settings :)
Good tips. I have just begun to print and learn some things. Is there a way to add a text with many words? I cannot separate words with the space bar.

Man this program is so glitchy 😆 have you tried updating to the latest version or uninstalling/reinstalling?

aw dang sorry to hear that.. Have you tried using the auto pick bottom button located directly on the build plate in the software?
@@LayerLabAustralia no..

I'm tried to run all three versions of the new 5.0 software. All of them lock up when I load them. This slicer is DOA.
Yeah, each release seems to get buggier and buggier... I wish the ender 3 v3 ke was compatible with other slicers... 😢
Noo Ender 7 support 😢
Yeah...it is a bit painful they don't have many printers on there...hopefully they will release more soon!
