    Dayum! I wasn´t even searching this video but I´m glad I saw it and watched it, I truly learned good stuff, like the pause to change filament (which I use A LOT). But now that I´m here I would like to ask (the main reazon I clicked on your video): All my prints start and end with a default temp of 230°C; I can´t find the setting to modify that other than change the temp manually on the printer or the software

    • @LayerLabAustralia
      @LayerLabAustralia 3 дні тому

      Glad you found it helpful! So you just want to change the default temp? The top right of the screen you will see some coloured boxes with your preferred plastic (PETG/PLA/ABS/ETC) you will probably only have one of these coloured boxes, click the little down arrow and it will allow you to change the plastic type/printing temp plus a few other settings. Hope this has answered your question

    Do you leave the fan at 100 for PID of extruder or turn it off after the heater bed?

    • @LayerLabAustralia
      @LayerLabAustralia 10 днів тому

      Depends if you are going to be using the fan when you are printing. If yes, then crank it up to whatever speed it normally sits at. The idea is to get the PID tune heated/cooled at the same temp you are going to be printing at the most. If you are using a few different types of plastic, average it out :)

    • @LayerLabAustralia

      It just depends on your spool and how wide the hole is. Grab a tape measure and see how wide it is, then type in something like this "Sunlu to Bamboo Lab Filament Adapter XXmm". Here is one that fits 72mm similar to the video - www.printables.com/model/856559-sunlu-72mm-spool-centering-disc-for-bambu-lab-spoo?lang=en . That’s fine by me, but I’m trying to make a cosplay helmet and want the inside to be thicker and either have more walls or more infill. Is there a way to increase the infill in a specific spot? When I increase the density, it only adds more to the spot it’s already filling
