Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the mnemonics on anti platelet drugs! I forgot to give u the mnemonic I use to separate pde3 from pde5 inhibitors. The pde5 inhibitors are involved in cgmp and gmp and is the mechanism behind sildenafil (viagra). To remember this, just think that the 5 in pde5 is spelled “five” and starts with an “f”. Erectile dysfunction drugs’ ultimate goal is to have sex successfully again. Thus, the f stands for “f***” u can fill in the blanks. Also, ticlopidine has a rare side effect of causing neutropenia or aplastic anemia. Happy studies!
