Bryce's expression reminds me of a kid on Christmas day opening his presents, this demonstrates the passion and the love he puts on his work, even if just recording a drum playthrough! This is the reason Shadow of Intent are one of the best, if not THE best, bands out there right now

If you’ve ever heard of the band Polaris, I’ve seen them countless times live and I always catch myself watching their drummer because he’s always smiling and puts such intense energy into their shows
There’s nothing better than seeing a musician happy to be performing, especially their music

Bryce is actually my drum teacher and he is without a doubt one of the nicest people I've met in my life. The first time we met I jokingly asked him if he could play Bleed and he casually went and started playing it!!

That's awesome on at least three levels. One, the drummer of Shadow of Intent is your drum teacher. Two, it's the nicest and most enthusiastic of them, and a super nice one in general. Three, he casually played you some of Bleed, which is both fun, and impressive.
He reminds me of Nicko Mcbrain from Iron Maiden that Dude also plays with the brightest Smile. I just love to watch him play and having Fun.

I met Bryce Butler once. Thought he was just a rodie on the Lorna shore, Enterprise Earth, bodysnatcher, and within destruction tour, talk to him just because he radiates happiness. Didn't even know i was talking to such an amazing drummer.

He looks so cheerful and enthusiastic. Different kind of energy than you usually see from a metal drummer. I like an intense and determined or angry looking drummer as much as anyone but this is refreshing to see as well. Kudos Bryce.

This dude has some of the juiciest double kicks. Idk why, I fall in love with the patterns he does and his 16th note runs are fantastic. Not to mention that mixing on the kick is absolutely sexy.
I saw them live recently and Bryce stood beside me while the other bands played and he was all smiles and air drumming the whole time. The dude is a freakin beast.

The change in pace at 0:58 seconds always gets me, it’s so good
I don’t know what it is about slowing it down but it feels and sounds so much heavier
It’s a change from a 6/8 time signature to 4/4 signature. Same tempo, but it plays different in our heads. As we headbang, the first part of the song we count 1,2,3 - 1,2,3 between nods, but then that part hits and the count changes to 1,2,3,4 - 1,2,3,4 before switching back to 1,2,3. Super cool.

I LOVE how happy he is while playing! As much as I love Anthony Barone, Bryce is such a perfect fit for SOI, so I'm happy he's the one filling his shoes. Keep up the amazing work dudes 🔥

Bryce Butler is easily the best, sweetest, and most humble drummer to come out of Dallas, Texas. He’s such a wholesome bean, I love him so much. The look on his face is, as many of you have said, akin to a kid in a candy or toy store, but also like he’s so thrilled and surprised that he can do what he’s doing. You guys made the perfect choice with him. Truly.

Bryce always reminds me of a 2y/o having a blast (ba dum tss) messing around on his cool uncle's drum kit, except that he's always playing really badass stuff.
This is why SOI is the best band out there. The happiness and joy these guys clearly have bringing us face melting blast beats and death growls is palpable. Do what you love guys!

Seeing him this happy drumming reminds me of the joy I SHOULD be having playing guitar. I lost it somewhere along the way.
i found the joy again by tuning the voice down, removing the leads, putting on the best earphones i got - cranking the volume and allowing myself to be the 15 year old with a tenniracket for a guitar again. i´m sure i screwed everything up but that little self deceit invigorated the rockstar fantasy to the extent i dont mind stern exercise regimes anymore.

Not gonna lie, when I heard Anthony had parted ways with you guys, I was bummed, dude is one of my fav drummers, BUT, after seeing Bryce kill it with you guys in the tour vids, and now this... Happy you guys found someone to fill Anthony's shoes, they were big, and Bryce absolutely fills them, plus I think I have found another fav drummer, haha, like Matteo said, like a kid on Christmas, dude is absolutely loving it! I saw Shadow of Intent play live as a guest performance for the Lorna Shore Christmas show. They were amazing! I love Bryce’s smile. They put on an amazing performance. I also love that the band name was inspired by Halo. Every time I see “Shadow of Intent” on the Halo loading screens, I think of them.
I was just smiling and impressed at the same time during this whole video. He seems so happy and it is awesome to see how he actually enjoys playing his instrument. This is what music and making music should be all about. Absolutely love this!
