    I made one of these from an old fire extinguisher and a broken floor pump. Works great, press the handle and the Tyre is seated. Also use it to clean out hard to get places like in between car seats and inside the tumble dryer.

      cool, I wanted to do that myself also. Actually from an old CO2 cartrige for sparkling water machine, but the parts I'd need to buy would add up to almost 30 eur, so I just bought the tyre booster from Schwalbe for 38 :)
      How do you charge it with air?

    I got one last month for emergency for our fat bikes, as there's nothing worse after a puncture and your tyre is to low, we have No Stans sealant in the tubes , so we aren't tubeless, but having No Stans sealant in has helped a lot, but using the Tubibooster is a God send especially when we do LEJOG in July on our fat bikes unsupported 👍😉

    Hmmm, curious...odd spec...
    someone unscrews the top forgetting its got 200psi in...instant bullet...
    What bike pumps can do 200psi? Not many if any...
    Most popular tyre sealants are not co2 compatible.
    Think Topeak have not thought this through.
    Air shot is similar without the downsides or unusable features like 200psi, but with the v useful hose...

    • @harzenduro
      @harzenduro 5 років тому

      I wouldn't say that it acts as a bullet when accidentally unscrewing the top. The air would probably gradually escape and anyways; why would you pump it up and then leave it unused? Doesn't make sense.
      The idea of Topeak isn't new though. Schwalbe has one and I have the Milkit Booster of which I have uploaded a video this week. Works alright.
      For a 29x2.4 tire you only need 10bars.

    Hey Doddy and team,
    Quick BB question for you- I just changed the BB in my training bike with a Shimano BB-UN55... The non-drive side went in really easily, but the drive side was a right pain, and I couldn't get the outside of the shell to bottom on the BB shell. I couldn't apply any more torque without the BB tool popping out of the drive side.
    I used waterproof grease, and my 5 minute test ride was a 1000% improvement on the old BB... But I still feel like that BB shell should be seated on both sides. The only thing I can think is that my BB tool is a bit crappy (a SuperB from about 10 years ago) and might have stopped me from driving the whole way home.
    Have I done something wrong, or if this OK?
    Thanks for the content, it's always fantastic :-)

    Wouldn't the valve do the same job with a co2 canister?

    • @vincedrover1948
      @vincedrover1948 5 років тому

      It theoretically should, but the challenge would be filling the CO2 cylinder with the valve on it. Having worked in a shop that filled CO2 cylinders in the past, the setup for filling is quite beefy and requires forcing liquid CO2 into the cylinder. Not sure whether this is even possible through the presta valve on this thing.

    • @Jac70
      @Jac70 5 років тому

      @Andrew Dodd Yeah, but the issue with tubeless is getting that initial pop. Getting the tyres to seat on the rims. Once that's done you should be fine inflating with a pump. The problem with this Tubibooster is that it costs £50.

    • @stuartmoseley
      @stuartmoseley 5 років тому +1

      @@Jac70 I have the AIRSHOT and was definitely worth the money. It however has a hose and an open close switch which i is super easy to use. The Tubibooster looks harder to use IMO without the hose and having to hold it in place.

    • @rupedog
      @rupedog 5 років тому

      @@stuartmoseley TOTALLY agree. Also I am not aware of any/many 200psi track pumps, its hard enough to pump to 160 anyway, 200 would be supremely hard work, and 160 seats a 29x2.6 tyre...maybe useful for plus tyres tho

    Strikes mare as more awkward to use than one of the originals the Airshot. And this is more expensive. Trying to get that on a valve is going to be a pain, the hose on the Airshot has got to be a better idea. Only small advantage is the CO2 inflator - but not really... because it'll freeze on a trail!

    BEWARE: DOES NOT WORK for "First Time Seating" of TR light/racing 29er tires (e.g. Maxxis, Schwalbe). I have tried several times to get this to work but it only works when tires had been seated before and have only partial sections separated from the rim. NEVER WORKS FOR BRAND NEW TIRES. It is frustrating. Tried with 100 psi, 150psi, 180psi... 200psi. PROBLEM: Air simply discharges too slowly. My floor pump could get the canister up to 200 psi (which is too high). But it never releases with the rush of air necessary to seat a brand new tubeless tire for the first time.
