@Clooximy orchestra has like levels, beginning which is usually almost 6th graders, rarely 7th and super rarely 8th but those are for those who changed their electives, intermediate is a mix between 7th and 8th graders, 6th graders too if they played an instrument in elementary, advanced which is usually 7-8th again rarely 6th for the same reason as intermediate, and chamber which is the highest group and is my current group, usually mostly 7-8th graders, super rare to find a 6th grader there
the last chunk of this was an audition piece for chamber orchestra at my school and for a very brief moment, that was the only thing the cellists played in chamber
We’re playing this for our orchestra festival this year. around 1:25 i love the concept of there trying to be some kind of melody between cellos and 2nd violins with their quarter notes, but it mostly just feels like an empty space or a void! :)
A piece where 1st violins are bursting out squeaky high notes , viola cello and bass also get the main tune, and 2nd violin aren’t invisible, AND made by Doug spata? Incredible…
I played this when I was 10 as part of a summer program, and looking back makes me realize how much I've grown as a violinist since then (i played violin 2) Looking at it now it's like the type of piece I could easily sightread, but at the time it was incredibly difficult lol
i’m in 6th grade and i’m a violinist. I play violin 2 for this and it’s so fun but we don’t get as many breaks as the violin 1 people. I love how at the end i can hear myself playing the melody and every other instrument playing different stuff to then unite at the end. ITS SOO GOOD. I love being one of the 3 people who decide to play violin 2 for this lol
Im a Viola, and im REALLY hoping to play this next year in the Orchestra, we've already played "Dragonhunter" and "Legends of Glory" I just want this, and I will be satisfied
When one of our music teachers brought the string family in this is what they played as a demonstration of what all of the instruments sounded like together, it was amazing! (I'm in 5th grade thinking of signing up for orchestra)
its actually really fun😋 it's a little difficult when you first start but once you get the hang of it it's so much better, i play the cello and although we have some pretty fast melodies in this one we actually get a balance of both melodys and harmonies, so if you want a balance of both i'd recommend the cello, i personally love playing mine and this piece specifically has such a hold on me, this piece is honestly so fun to play, i'd honestly say you should join, really fun overall, don't slack off on knowing your notes though😭😭
I like this song, especially after winning sweepstakes with it yesterday, but I think we will (fortunately, yet unfortunately) be playing a concert of Avengers songs, etc.
