This is 2001 Shady. Ken Kaniff is a character Eminem and Proof do on Em’s albums. You’ll hear them doing his voice all throughout his career in songs and skits. Eminem wrote the entire Forgot About Dre song
Actually a Detroit rapper named Aristotle made up Ken Kaniff on a prank call to Em (it was used for the skit on SSLP) and Em decided to run with the character
What he said^^ .. Ken kaniff (Aristotle) is on The slim shady LP. Eminem didn't bring him back for The Marshall Mathers LP instead he decided to impersonate him.
I believe Ken Kanniff was a fictional character made up by underground rapper Aristotle on the slim shady LP. Aristotle and Em has a disagreement and Em started doing the voice/skits of Ken on his future albums. Little known fact- Ken Kanniff is from Connecticut
Ken Kaniff is made up. He's just a fictional character. If you go listen to Eminem's prank calls he uses the ken kaniff persona regularly. His pranks calls are hilarious too.
@@MrfuckinBeilke that is accurate. The character is still a fictional creation. I juat don't remember who he got it from. That's why I didn't get specific. Probably good of you to have clarified though. In retrospect i see where it comes off as implied.
2000. friend, this come out 2000. On mmlp1, almost all 20 years, jesus, time flying, i remember so clearly when this come out, whole world turns into eminem over night xD
Royce been rippin it since cats was buyin jewelry out the source and forgot about dre was the song that first introduced me to em had it in my walkman at age 12
Great reaction bro, I'm back was on the Marshall Mathers LP that came out in 2000. Will you react to Eminem who knew, Kim and 97 Bonnie and Clyde next?
@@MrfuckinBeilke Last dayz(which is the song at tge end of Forgot about Dre)was released as a single, the album itself was shelved. They are still(probably) friends, but as far as music goes, haven't heard anything from him.Dre's proteges have a habbit of getting shelved unfortunatly.
Let's talk is underrated af, thanks for the reminder....I'm gunna bang it today. I came here for em but left wanting to bang royce. Also u are by far the best reactor??? I've watched. I see the passion. Def subscriber now.
Heard forgot about dre hundreds of times but never actually seen the music video before haha. Quality reactions, so good to see you enjoying yourself with it!
The beat sounds like a Alchemist production. Love that type of beat as well. Here a few songs with that kinda vibe to it -> Cam’ron feat. Jay-Z - Welcome to New York City Fat Joe - Definition of a Don Fabulous - Breath Prodigy - Keep it Thoro Nas - Book of Rhymes Mobb Deep - The Illest The Alchemist feat. 3 6 Mafia, Juvenile - That‘ll Work Ali Vega - Town bought it Capone n Noreaga - Queens Most are ALC productions 🔥
The second song is actually called Losing Out and it's by Black Milk ft. Royce. The beat is also made by Black Milk, who is one the dopest producers out there right now.
This whole song was written by em for Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg but when Dre went into the studio to record his part em did Snoops parts which they intended to edit out later. When Dre listened to the version with em he decided he really liked it and wanted to feature it on the album.
Yep, Em and Mel-man wrote forgot about Dre. Hitman and mel-man wrote pretty much all of that album along with Jay-z and Mel-man writing Still Dre, Snoop, kurupt, devin the dude and others writing mostly there own verses on shits that had features. Look up the track list and you’ll see Breeden (Mel-man) and Bailey (Hittman) basically right through the album
That Hittman track was the b-side to Forgot About Dre. Hittman was signed yo Dre's Aftermath label and was a major writer on the Chronic 2001 album. He also features on more than half the tracks on that album. Unfortunately like many artists on Aftermath he fell victim to Dre's perfectionism and never released his own record on Aftermath and his career never took off.
L.... u are TRULY THE FN MAN!!!! From when u first started reacting (AND YES, I WUZ THERE) u can really tell how you have REALLY come into your own bro!! Guilty Conscience is hilarious with them. Some confuse it thinking How Come with D12. The title does that. But they are hilarious in that video. It’s here on UA-cam. From 2002 I think.
Someone prolly said it, but black milk is a producer first and rapper second. He did this beat and might even have engineered it. Not positive on that tho.
Yes, Em wrote all of forgot about dre. Hes written every single word outta dres mouth on every single collab they have except dres verse on medicine man. Eminem also wrote the entirety of The Watcher and has writing creds for bang bang and let's get high.
@@MrfuckinBeilke Yeah, he wrote Forgot About Dre and The Watcher and has writing creds for bang bang and let's get high. Exactly what I already said. Idk what the song 3rd song is.
Shady made Dre a legend. Dre hit the lottery when he found Eminem. They about to drop new music and they are the only thing worth listening to. Dre gave Eminem a shot and he got down in history for finding a lyrically genius. I'm so glad Eminem and Dre found each other everything happens for a reason and when bad meets evil 2 comes out and Eminem drops his next solo project you gonna remember why the got this game on lock
Hit man was all over dre's chronic 2001 album.. dude was the bomb..not sure what happened to him but you should check out the song murder ink from 2001 feat hitman song Is fire
Ken Keniff is one of the interludes on one of Eminem’s first couple albums. Actually I think he was his the first and second album. Basically he’s a sexual deviant…but he’s also hilarious. lol
Love your vids dude but just quick thing, if you don’t know when an Em song is released just look it up real quick. It messes up the context if you think a song is released earlier or later than you expected. Keep up the great work!

Dre has openly had writers
He has never said he doesn't. Its known that the featured artist usually writes the song. Eminem wrote this all.
I believe Ken Kanniff was a fictional character made up by underground rapper Aristotle on the slim shady LP. Aristotle and Em has a disagreement and Em started doing the voice/skits of Ken on his future albums. Little known fact- Ken Kanniff is from Connecticut
Jayson Monroe Little known? Em even says “Ken Kaniff from Connecticut” on the album. Besides, who cares where hes from, hes fictional. 😝
Yup💯
This man needs a medal for showcasing “Let’s Talk”. This is my first time hearing it and now I’m listening to it on repeat.
Dr Dre - medicine man ft Eminem 👌👌👌👌👌 Em's verse is one of the best ever spit!!!!!!
