yeah, just re-watched the last 30 mins ...movie still hits like a truck. When I realise how I've changed and accomplished since I first watched this movie. For one actually became a scientist :D
I remember watching this movie in theaters and thinking that it was gonna be Disneys next “big thing”. Definitely one of the most slept on Disney movies of all time
It fell victim to the same disease as The Wizard of Oz and The Princess Bride. The marketing department didn't know what to do with it. Heck, I remember watching a commercial for it that pitted Lewis and Bowler Hat Guy (Goob) against each other as invention rivals!
@@k-leb4671 Not when it was first released. It was considered a flop after its release because of how poorly it initially performed in theaters. Thankfully, the few who did give it a chance, along with a few critics, spread the word about how new and unique it was (at the time) and how anyone could enjoy it. Only then was there a demand to see it and it re-released in theaters to much success!
I am filling a complaint for not having taken a sin off when he accidentally called Franie "Mom". That moment took my heart and tore it to a thousand pieces in one second.
100 sins for lewis being able to meet himself without destroying the universe and the fact that him seeing his own future which seemingly has a high impact on the world/universe is enough to potentially alter his actions that created that future and destroy the timeline by itself
For reasons I can’t explain I love this movie. It just hits a perfect spot of ridiculous but poignant when it needs to be, yet you never feel like it swings to hard one way or the other. Definitely underrated in my mind when put up against its peers
the tom selleck joke is there because it is random and because cornelius (future lewis) is voiced by tome selleck, invoking him was on purpose, along with that the portraits are for the audience, they are there for us to see, not the characters.
I saw this film many years ago, when I was a child and since then I have never seen this film again. I forgot, how this film is called, my parents too and google did not helped me. And today you make a video on this film. Many thanks
@@MsDudette21 well yeah because Wilbur was trying to come up with the least Cornelius/Lewis looking person possible and Tom Selleck was the first person that popped into his head
I loved this film as a kid and the guy makes a good point about the pencil balance but if he’s going to be that pedantic about about the pencil then I’m going to sin him for saying lead when pencils are made with graphite not lead
The term for the core of a pencil is called the pencil lead. This particular sin was based around cartoon physics, how does that justifies making a sin based around ignoring the common accepted term for a common tool.
@@scarffoxandfriends9401 first I feel that you have taken a good natured joke and comment far to seriously, secondly where I’m from we don’t call it lead because it isn’t lead, we call things what they are
...did he sin goob having unexplained issues causing him to have dark circles under his eyes even though its quite clearly explained in the movie that the reason for said circles is because Lewis inventing at night doesn't let him get any sleep?
I would still argue that the way it's presented is still confusing and is sin-worthy. The very first moment we see Goob, he has the dark circles under his eyes. While this could easily be due to the fact that in this same scene it's established that Lewis is a bad roommate to Goob, ignoring his roommate in favor of tunnelvision on his invention which he sees as a solution for his loneliness (with the fact that Goob has an airhorn to snap Lewis out of his post-invention daydreams indicates they have been roommates for awhile), later scenes imply that it only became impossible for Goob to sleep once Lewis began working on the memory scanner. While Goob could have had trouble sleeping initially, which was exasperated by Lewis' inventing, that seems a needlessly overcomplicated explanation.
"I have a big head and little arms" is this movie's equivalent of "Sharp rocks at the bottom?" "Most likely" from Emporor's new Groove. A stroke of comedic genius that makes you remember the rest of the film as better than it was.
Exactly. Kids movies just hits gold sometimes with 1 specific scene/joke that makes them seem better than they actually are when put under any amount of scrutiny under a critical look
3:11 Yeah, no, the REAL sin for that scene is not letting the child know beforehand that one of his maybe-parents has a peanut allergy; and no, "We don't usually eat peanut butter" is not a good explanation.
16:50 what I never got about this part is how after Lewis runs off, the family start hating on Will and don’t even ATTEMPT to find out what happened in detail and go after the literal child version of their most famous family member. Like, you’d think with how serious of a situation this is, the last thing they’d do is walk off and not try to get the kid back in his original timeline again. Even if they walk off for selfish purposes, all of them are being put in danger by letting the kid roam around freely since they themselves could be effected by something in his mind changing suddenly while in the future. This doesn’t even mention how Louis’ OWN parents just walk away from their heartbroken kid son. Rejecting your own kid in adoption must be damn hard after already going through the process years ago, but they just shrug it off and skip away, leaving their only son to have a mental breakdown over his abandonment issues.
@@Raya-ir4tm Not even that, its message is sloppy, remember when Jeremy called out on how the movie depict mistakes with inventions are good but mistake with people is bad and you never get the chance to undo the mistake? This movie message is crap and its time travel confusing

11:57 2 more sins: First, that's a T-Bone or Porterhouse steak. That white "d" shaped thing is a bone and wouldn't bend like that. Second, the marbling and fat says it's a good-quality steak, so it would be like a $30 piece of meat. Pretty nice orphanage, throwing away T-Bones like that.

This movie was so heartwarming, especially the ending when the song little wonders was playing 🥲
Oh my god that's my favorite part too!
yeah, just re-watched the last 30 mins ...movie still hits like a truck. When I realise how I've changed and accomplished since I first watched this movie. For one actually became a scientist :D
That song is phenomenal. The whole soundtrack is amazing
I cry everytime 😢 ♡♥︎♡
I always cry at the ending, it's like a warm hug or a bittersweet goodbye 😪
I remember watching this movie in theaters and thinking that it was gonna be Disneys next “big thing”. Definitely one of the most slept on Disney movies of all time
It fell victim to the same disease as The Wizard of Oz and The Princess Bride. The marketing department didn't know what to do with it. Heck, I remember watching a commercial for it that pitted Lewis and Bowler Hat Guy (Goob) against each other as invention rivals!
@@timwoods2852 The Wizard of Oz had trouble with marketing? I thought it was huge.
“Little Wonders” by Rob Thomas is, today, still a banger of a song.
Thanks for reminding me who sings the song.
Agreed!
For reasons I can’t explain I love this movie. It just hits a perfect spot of ridiculous but poignant when it needs to be, yet you never feel like it swings to hard one way or the other. Definitely underrated in my mind when put up against its peers
I loved this so much, and I still think that it's better than majority of Disney movies in the last decade
Toy story 4 sucks…
@@theoguncleslappy9150 that's Pixar; but your right it did
the tom selleck joke is there because it is random and because cornelius (future lewis) is voiced by tome selleck, invoking him was on purpose, along with that the portraits are for the audience, they are there for us to see, not the characters.
I saw this film many years ago, when I was a child and since then I have never seen this film again. I forgot, how this film is called, my parents too and google did not helped me.
And today you make a video on this film. Many thanks
Fun fact, Cornelius is voiced by Tom Selleck, which isn’t necessarily the reason of the joke, but it is an interesting thing to note
cant beleive jeremy didnt point out the fact Lewis looks nothing like Tom
@@MsDudette21 well yeah because Wilbur was trying to come up with the least Cornelius/Lewis looking person possible and Tom Selleck was the first person that popped into his head
Older Lewis is voiced by Tom Selleck... And most dubbed versions change the portrait to match who voiced older Lewis. That detail is amazing
@@scarffoxandfriends9401 first I feel that you have taken a good natured joke and comment far to seriously, secondly where I’m from we don’t call it lead because it isn’t lead, we call things what they are
As someone who used to wear glasses, that is totally possible as you have the arm of the frames to wedge the pencil in place between it and your ear.
0:28 100% Thought she was going to put the baby In THE MAILBOX!
Whaaaaat?????🤨
I'm over here trippin and I was so amazed when what he was lined up w the robot 9:49 its so trippy
...did he sin goob having unexplained issues causing him to have dark circles under his eyes even though its quite clearly explained in the movie that the reason for said circles is because Lewis inventing at night doesn't let him get any sleep?
"I have a big head and little arms" is this movie's equivalent of "Sharp rocks at the bottom?"
"Most likely" from Emporor's new Groove.
Listening to Jeremy lose all of his marbles is the highest highlight of my day
16:50 what I never got about this part is how after Lewis runs off, the family start hating on Will and don’t even ATTEMPT to find out what happened in detail and go after the literal child version of their most famous family member.
I don't think the couple in the beginning were his parents
5:30 there’s something so funny about a boy being threatened with karate by his future mother who’s a little girl
Jeremy learning from your failures and that it's ok to fail is a great message for kids
AND A BILLION SINS FOR YOU FOR SINNING THE T REX SCENE
@@Raya-ir4tm i thought it was a good movie.
@@Raya-ir4tm Not even that, its message is sloppy, remember when Jeremy called out on how the movie depict mistakes with inventions are good but mistake with people is bad and you never get the chance to undo the mistake? This movie message is crap and its time travel confusing
This is one of my favourite animated movies, it’s so underrated and adorable. I love the whole celebrating failure cause you just have to “keep moving forward”. Plus Goob is the best “villain” ever
Him and Dr. Doof are the BEST
The part at the end when he says goodbye and the music is playing and everything has been set right, makes me tear up every time

My favorite moment has to be this:
T Rex: I have a big head and little arms….

Can we talk about how floppy that T-bone steak was, even with a bone in the middle of it.
Where did he get it from!? Did he buy it or the orphanage just had money for t bones to waste
This movie is so special to me, I always wanted to be adopted by a family that would help me reach my full potential and I finally did and have come so much further and have a wonderful family
Meet The Robinsons is so insanely underrated it makes me upset.
One of the best Disney Films, and it’s criminally underrated
I loved this movie so much. The message, corny as it might be, was just what my overly self-critical, perfectionist, high-school self needed to hear.
I've always loved this movie. That Mr. Enter video on this movie from a few years back made some good points on how it teaches some good life lessons and it was really heartwarming. I haven't seen the video since it came out but I remembered that now. I'm glad this finally got covered here!
I GET IT! Took 5 rewinds and a minute and a half of thinking, but the, "you thought the B in PBJ stood for butter" joke, means the B stands for Bukkake in this case. LMFAO 🤣😆
CinemaSins:I fear no movie to sin, but that thing: *Open Mailbox* it scares me
This movie is so good, that even my dad loved it, and he is VERY picky when it comes to movies. That says something
For franchise compilation sins videos, CinemaSins needs to do the “Die Hard” franchise, the “Transformers” franchise, the “Twilight” movies and the “Divergent” trilogy.

"Jurassic Parkour" is one of the funniest lines I have ever heard from CinemaSins! 15:37

Bowler Hat Guy (aka Goober) is a mix between Robbie Rotten and Waluigi and I am HERE for it
Lizzy's fire ants probably bred like wildfire when they finally achieved freedom from that otherwise incredibly small ant colony.

Cinema sins: roasts it
Me after this episode: this was the best movie of my childhood
Some things never change.
Oh my gosh! Meet the Robinsons is one of the best Disney movies I ever watched! It takes me right back to my childhood!
I like how you talk about the Robinson's being there, but not the paradox of the hat preventing its existence because Louis never was able to create it
Another point. At 7:48 when the time machine starts to uncloak it shows that Lewis would have fallen through the raked glass
7:28 Missed the sin how Lewis would not have fallen flat into the time car & probably broken his neck or back at the angle presented of the seat, not to mention bounce off the back part of the glass & roll off heading straight to his death OR be impaled on the electrode sticking out of the top.
11:57
2 more sins: First, that's a T-Bone or Porterhouse steak. That white "d" shaped thing is a bone and wouldn't bend like that. Second, the marbling and fat says it's a good-quality steak, so it would be like a $30 piece of meat. Pretty nice orphanage, throwing away T-Bones like that.
I'm just happy to see someone acknowledge Meet the Robinsons at all!

@CinemaSins the glasses hold the pencil in the place I’ve done it hundreds of times
My teenage daughter randomly walks around house with her hands up like a t-rex ... for some reason. And I always do the "I have a big head and little arms" bit when she does.
1000 sins for not acknowledging Walt’s quote at the end of the film, which embodies it’s message… “Keep moving forward.”
You know that you're an old music geek when you notice that CinemaSins used "Childhood Remembered" from the Batman 1989 movie soundtrack by Danny Elfman at 12:06 and other parts involving the villain...
I loveeee how you added at the end one of David Tennant’s best lines as doctor who 🤩🤓

The only parallel that I can draw is that this movie is a modern midsummer nights dream.
I kinda like how this is one of few time travel films that both doesn't care about science but also kinda goes just far enough for you not to mind that it doesn't care without going overboard
12:30 And yet I paid no attention to the nose and so figured out the twist while watching this scene.
Saw this movie a long time ago, haven't seen it in years. It's a sweet story, although a bizarre one at that. Also, this is random, but Lewis looks like Chicken Little and I can't get it out of my head.
