Thx guys!..I know I haven’t Been showing u any more shows lately but I’m trying my best to bring me and Oswald back! Man..how long has it been what have a missed?
I definitely think Walter Tetley, Thom Adcox-Hernandez and Charlie Adler are the best out of the bunch. They give a higher pitched voice that isn’t ripping off Mickey and each gives Felix a bit more personality.

Charlie Adler is my favorite, he made Felix sound more mature and the voice just fits
I loved every voice, but I definitely loved Charlie Adler's take. Might be from bias because I just LOVE that man's work in everything, but I felt he made his own unique spin on the character.
I love Charlie Adler's distinctive sounding cartoon voice (Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, Earthworm Jim), but my favourite is Thom Adcox Hernandez because it sounds the most different from other cartoon characters.
The high voices make it harder to distance Felix from Mickey Mouse.
Charlie Adler and thom adcox hernandez both captured Felix’s more mischievous, unruly, and snarky attitude that the other voices lacked. Felix was never supposed to be a picture perfect innocent cat. He could be rowdy, crass and especially in the twisted tales version. with charlie adler’s voice he has a slight cynical sarcasm to his tone which gave his personality and emotions more range and spunk.
Felix from Felix Saves Christmas sounds EXACTLY LIKE MICKEY
I personally like Thom's voice better but they do have their own unique voices for Felix. Wish they could bring back Felix in some way, especially for his 100th anniversary.

His voice changes from a little kid voice to a falsetto. (I like the former better.)
I really love little Walter Tetley as Felix! I had never heard his version before. Which is weird when you think about it... I mean, he was essentially the first official voice for Felix so, it really baffles me that they didn't keep that child-like voice for him as time went on. I really like it! Having a young boy voice him gives Felix a sweet sound that's, also, a bit impish and it really suits him. I feel like that's what Felix was always meant to sound like. Thom Adcox-Hernandez is the only other one to go for that boyish sound and I think he did a good job replicating it too.
Walter was actually about 20-21 when he voiced Felix in the three shorts depending on when he recorded them. However he could impersonate an child which ever as he grew older.
@@stephenholloway6893 Really? He looks so young in his picture, I just assumed he was younger than that. In that case, it makes even less sense they didn't keep him on later. He did such a fabulous job as Felix, it's such a shame he didn't do the voice longer. 😢
Yeah but I suspect that the Mercer Felix cartoons were recorded in New York also Walter a year later (this was 1958 after all when Jack took over voicing Felix) would voice Sherman which was his best known character. Since Jay Ward recorded his cartoons in California.
@@SwiftFoxProductions Walter had a medical condition that made him not mature, he basically sounded like a preteen boy and looked like a young boy for all of his life. (There was also this rumor that his mother had him fixed to make him sound that way, but I'm not sure if it's true or not) He's like the boy who never or could grow up. :( I love all his adorable voices he did though, especially Felix! ^^
Jack Mercer really nailed the feline aspect of Felix's voice - he had a sort of "meowy" tone, the voice I use when I talk to my kitty! 😺😻😸

It's kind of funny how Walter's Felix sounds like Max Charles's Sherman from the movie and Netflix cartoon, considering Walter WAS the original voice of Sherman.
I like the kid from the 1990’s he didn’t sound like he was trying to be a cat version of Mickey Mouse.

Anyone else wonder why Felix had a pink nose as a baby but a black nose as an adult?
I knew I wasn't the only one who questioned that.
Most kittens (at least the ones I've seen) have pink noses, so that's probably why.

Hearing Felix in the 30s Van Beuren shorts, up to The Twisted Tales of Felix, I always felt like its Felix growing from a child to an adult, even with how the tones between both shows go.

I might be in the minority here, but I kinda prefer his voices in the Twisted Tales series, I might be a bit biased though since it’s my favorite Felix cartoon.
Plus that and the anime series he didn't sound like a lame Mickey Mouse wannabe.

Charlie Adler and Jack Mercer are my favourites, grew up with the 50s series so I have a big soft spot for that one
Hernandez did the best voice, I think. It a cross between a natural speaking voice, and the stylized falsetto. It also gets away from the Mickey Mouse comparisons.
They were all pretty nice. But my favorite voice and animation of Felix would be Walter Tetley. But man, he looked so young for his age. My second would be the voices from the Anime Felix series. He sounds soooooo cute in Japanese. But the voice used for Felix in the Christmas movie sounds a lot lilike Mickey Mouse.
Really is a shame that Felix the Cat got nothing more than a new merch line to celebrate his 100th anniversary.

Jack Mercer Voiced Felix.. It Reminds Me of Howie Mandel Voicing Bobby.
In his last 90 years Felix seems to have been climbing a Penrose staircase of quality when it comes to voices.
For someone whose earliest encounter with Felix the Cat cartoons was the 1959-1961 TV cartoons,the definitive Felix voice is Jack Mercer...and I didn't even know he was Felix(and all the others in the series)until I saw him interviewed on a TV show and he told who he was besides Popeye.
I enjoy Charlie's voice way more better then the rest he didn't make Felix sound like a kid or a teenager and I think if fits him vary well especially for his personality

Not at all. That's the Felix voice I grew up with. I always watched those episodes on a DVD my dad gave me.

I hope I'm too late to comment but I love the voice evolution of felix the cat and walter tetley, thom adcox-hernandez and charlie adler are just wonderful!
For me, there’s no question about who wins here: Walter Tetley, because he’s the only one who’s voice fits and doesn’t sound like a robot. His performance is spirited, and he even has a really good singing voice. Great choice for the role, and it’s a shame they didn’t try to bring him back for the TV version in the 1950s.
The Japanese voices seem fine to me, but I know very little about Japanese to properly judge that, so I’m not including them in my ranking.
Now for the other voices. I do think the falsetto is more fitting for Felix than the Twisted Tales voices, but all of them are incredibly wooden, which is a shame because I know at least some of them are very talented voice actors like Jack Mercer and Dave Coulier. Oriolo especially comes across as forced.
On the other end, Adler and Hernandez’s performances are more spirited, but the actual voices themselves just don’t sound right to me. Adler is at least a bit more comical, but sounds very similar to some of his other roles like Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons.
My final ranking (not including the Japanese voices or early “sound effects”):

3. David Kolin
4. Dave Coulier
5. Denise Nejame
6. Charlie Adler

I think Thom Hernadez's take onFelix is very underrrated. I thought it fit the best
Toshihiko Seki voicing Felix sounds similar to Junichi Kanemaru voicing Sonic.
I think I like the higher pitch voices but I don’t like it when he sounds like a kid unless they portray him as a kid. So I like the one with the cheaper animation with the iconic laugh. But oddly my favorite one IS from the kid in Twisted Tales. It’s like they were faithful to the high pitch voice but made it sound more natural without sounding like a little kid. Also it has a unique sound to it almost like he’s not talking but just thinking.
I'd say this is the most change I've heard in a voice--only Chip 'n Dale get close.
I like the kid voice, and think it's weird they didn't get a female voice actor for him if they couldn't get a kid. But the falsetto still sounds better to me than the other voices, which just didn't sound like they fit that cute cartoon. They sounded wacky and "90s" instead of like a character who had existed that long.

The “unknown actor” from the 1928-1929 shorts was named Elmer Edison, I read it somewhere.
Could you please show me a link to that information? I previously thought that Pat Sullivan voiced Felix the Cat from 1929 to 1930 as evidenced by the fact that Sullivan added sound effects and dialogue in the Copley Pictures Corporation-distributed cartoons.

P.s. I find it odd how he would of voiced though. After all at the time he had been drinking excessively and wasn’t showing up to work because of the death of his wife.
Best ones were the voices from the 1936 shorts and The Twistef Tales of Felix 90s cartoons, in my opinion! As well as my personal favorite Felix adaptations

All of these voices are fantastic! It is hard to chose which style would suit Felix the Cat. One thing is for sure though, he still has to sound like he is meowing almost all the time with his tone of voice.

Kinda fun watching one of these for a character I’m not super familiar with.
I grew with the 1995 HiT Entertainment Cartoon
Last year (Wednesday November 18th, 2020), I saw Felix Saves Christmas on TV and I say it was good. That was the first time I ever seen Felix on TV in my lifetime. I’m not joking, I watched it with my brother.
Update: I saw Felix Saves Christmas on TV in 2021 as well. The date was Wednesday December 9th, 2021.
As much I love Charlie Adler's voice for Felix, I actually prefer Mercer's in my opinion. He does a good strange Mickey Mouse voice.

jack mercer voice is an evolution of the sound noises of the character in the silent shorts and yes the faletto voice is asociate to happy go lucky characters like mickey mouse,mr hankey and towelie in south park, chip in family guy and pensylvester in rick and morty

Toshihiko Seki was a fun and interesting choice for Felix even though I know him for voicing edge lords.

WOAH! Slow down, Mate! Walter Tetley did not become the voice of Felix the Cat until 1936 when three Felix cartoons were produced for the Van Beuren RAINBOW PARADE series. And the actor's name is pronounced TET-Lee. It seems most will agree that the falsetto voice is most identified with Felix.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like Dave Coullier's voice acting as felix. Jack Mercer has the best laugh, Walter Tetley was also great. But since I grew up with twisted tails of Felix the cat, Charlie Adler's my overall fave.
There are lots of toons from Felix the Cat 1919 to Pinky Malinky 2019.
Thom Adcox - Hernandez and Charlie Alder were in my opinion the best Felix while Dave Coulier was the worst.

Gojira (ゴジラ) is a portmanteau of the Japanese words: gorira (ゴリラ, "gorilla") and kujira (鯨クジラ, "whale"), owing to the fact that in one planning stage, Godzilla was described as "a cross between a gorilla and a whale",[36] due to its size, power and aquatic origin. One popular story is that "Gojira" was actually the nickname of a corpulent stagehand at Toho Studio.[37] Kimi Honda, the widow of the director, dismissed this in a 1998 BBC documentary devoted to Godzilla, "The backstage boys at Toho loved to joke around with tall stories".[38]

Art director Akira Watanabe combined attributes of a Tyrannosaurus, an Iguanodon, a Stegosaurus and an alligator[45] to form a sort of blended chimera, inspired by illustrations from an issue of Life magazine.[46] To emphasise the monster's relationship with the atomic bomb, its skin texture was inspired by the keloid scars seen on survivors in Hiroshima.[47] The basic design has a reptilian visage, a robust build, an upright posture, a long tail and three rows of serrated plates along the back. In the original Japanese films, Godzilla and all the other monsters are referred to with gender-neutral pronouns equivalent to "it",[49] while in the English dubbed versions, Godzilla is explicitly described as a male. Godzilla's allegiance and motivations have changed from film to film to suit the needs of the story. Although Godzilla does not like humans,[55] it will fight alongside humanity against common threats. However, it makes no special effort to protect human life or property[56] and will turn against its human allies on a whim. It is not motivated to attack by predatory instinct: it does not eat people[57] and instead sustains itself on nuclear radiation[58] and an omnivorous diet.[59] When inquired if Godzilla was "good or bad", producer Shogo Tomiyama likened it to a Shinto "God of Destruction" which lacks moral agency and cannot be held to human standards of good and evil. "He totally destroys everything and then there is a rebirth. Godzilla is amphibious: it has a preference for traversing Earth's hydrosphere when in hibernation or migration, can breathe underwater[62] and is described in the original film by the character Dr. Yamane as a transitional form between a marine and a terrestrial reptile. Godzilla is shown to have great vitality: it is immune to conventional weaponry thanks to its rugged hide and ability to regenerate,[65] and as a result of surviving a nuclear explosion, it cannot be destroyed by anything less powerful. It is an electromagnetic pulse-producing organ in its body which generates an asymmetrical permeable shield making it impervious to all damage except for a short period when the organ recycles.
Various non-canonical films, television shows, comics and games have depicted Godzilla with additional powers, such as an atomic pulse,[66] magnetism,[67] precognition,[68] fireballs,[69] an electric bite,[70] superhuman speed,[71] laser beams emitted from its eyes[72] and even flight.[73]Godzilla's size is inconsistent, changing from film to film, and even from scene to scene, for the sake of artistic license.[57] The miniature sets and costumes were typically built at a 1⁄25-1⁄50 scale[79] and filmed at 240 frames per second to create the illusion of great size.[80] In the original 1954 film, Godzilla was scaled to be 50 m (164 ft) tall.[81] This was done so Godzilla could just peer over the largest buildings in Tokyo at the time.[2] In the 1956 American version, Godzilla is estimated to be 122 m (400 ft) tall, because producer Joseph E. Levine felt that 50 m did not sound "powerful enough".[82]
As the series progressed Toho would rescale the character, eventually making Godzilla as tall as 100 m (328 ft).[83] This was done so that it would not be dwarfed by the newer, bigger buildings in Tokyo's skyline, such as the 243-meter-tall (797 ft) Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building which Godzilla destroyed in the film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991). Supplementary information, such as character profiles, would also depict Godzilla as weighing between 20,000 and 60,000 metric tons (22,000 and 66,000 short tons).[81][83]
In the American film Godzilla (2014) from Legendary Pictures, Godzilla was scaled to be 108.2 m (355 ft) and weighing 90,000 metric tons (99,000 short tons), making it the largest film version at that time.[84] Director Gareth Edwards wanted Godzilla "to be so big as to be seen from anywhere in the city, but not too big that he couldn't be obscured".[85] For Shin Godzilla (2016), Godzilla was made even taller than the Legendary version, at 118.5 m (389 ft).[86][87] In Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (2017), Godzilla's height was increased further still to 300 m (984 ft),[88] the tallest height for the character to date. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla's height was increased to 119.8 m (393 ft) from the 2014 incarnation. Godzilla's appearance has traditionally been portrayed in the films by an actor wearing a latex costume, though the character has also been rendered in animatronic, stop-motion and computer-generated form.[90][91] Taking inspiration from King Kong, special effects artist Eiji Tsuburaya had initially wanted Godzilla to be portrayed via stop-motion, but prohibitive deadlines and a lack of experienced animators in Japan at the time made suitmation more practical.
Several suit actors had difficulties in performing as Godzilla, due to the suits' weight, lack of ventilation and diminished visibility.[48] Kenpachiro Satsuma in particular, who portrayed Godzilla from 1984 to 1995, described how the Godzilla suits he wore were even heavier and hotter than their predecessors because of the incorporation of animatronics.[95] Satsuma himself suffered numerous medical issues during his tenure, including oxygen deprivation, near-drowning, concussions, electric shocks and lacerations to the legs from the suits' steel wire reinforcements wearing through the rubber padding.[96]
The ventilation problem was partially solved in the suit used in 1994's Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, which was the first to include an air duct, which allowed suit actors to last longer during performances.[97] In The Return of Godzilla (1984), some scenes made use of a 16-foot high robotic Godzilla (dubbed the "Cybot Godzilla") for use in close-up shots of the creature's head. The Cybot Godzilla consisted of a hydraulically-powered mechanical endoskeleton covered in urethane skin containing 3,000 computer operated parts which permitted it to tilt its head and move its lips and arms.
