It might be a little bit late, but when I create the localhost through the cmd like you did, it doesn't give any type of information besides that the php 8.0 development server started... No root, no path.
If the directory root does not appear, then it means you have olny 1 admin on your Windows/Mac os. Hope this helped. If you still do not understand, just ask, i don't bite lol.

But why doesn't the directory root appear when we only have 1 admin on our os? Like, what purpose does that serve??

Fun fact: You can save few milliseconds of your life saying "world wide web" instead of "www"
