I've wanted a Mosrite since 1964. Out of my budget comfort zone. I now have the HB Modern.
Over 60 hours playing
time. I love it. No issues at all.
No more gigging for me. But I'll be recording with this guitar for years to come.
Every feature is excellent.

1960s Mosrites have narrow necks, it might be better for you this way. My 66 has a nut width (zero fret width, really) of about 1.550". The 70s models (after the ones that used 1960s necks, that is) widened the necks a good bit, though.

**NOT** a copy of the Danelectro! These are an "homage" to the Mosrite guitars, which Dano (and others, including Univox) lso produced models in the 'inspired by' mould.
Lovely guitars.... the only thing holding me back at the minute is the lack of a left hander in any other finish than the sunburst. I am SO OVER burst finishes.
This is also crying out for another adapted model with the Johnny Ramone pickup configuration....

I liked very much your review because you compare both sounds: classic vs. modern, and now I can clearly know what of the two models buy, I'm going to buy modern model, because I think it's more versatile and weights more, I like guitars that weight very much, with a lot of pick ups power. There's also the Danelectro Danoblaster (2000 - 2003) if you happened to find one on discount. Their bodies are literally plywood. They're pretty good too as a semi-Stratocaster type guitar (but with a 25" scale and the truss rod at the neck end,) and the Innuendo version has 4 pedal sound effects on-board. (The Hearsay version only has Distortion.)

This is a serious question here I'd appreciate a response, I'm about to buy one and I was going to get the expensive one bc I like the tuners and I figured mini hum. pups Would be better, but in this video it sounds like the P90 are clearer.. it's a weird bc I own a P90 guitar and it's sounds almost the opposite of mine... are those humbuckers garbage?
Should I get the cheaper one I just put good tuners on it?

@@coreyrini550 I tell you What I’m going to do. I keep this blue modern and ordered a P90 to put it intro neck position (or maybe bridge to, I dont know yet. I mennaged to buy a mr modern for 275 Euro from B-stock;) If you visit Thomann everyday you can find a good b-stock deal . One Classic was for 199 euro yesterday

Thank you for your response see that is what it is killing me because I love the tuners in the stainless steel Frets but I am not like you I cannot install a pickup so I'm debating tonight what if I'm going to go with the modern or the P90 I already have Epiphone with P90s

Why don't you test the trem on the blue guitar? Does it hold tune? Does it feel good? It's like trying à car without going in fourth gear...

Clever move by Thomann to do this in the two versions. The classic really speaks to me (I currently have no p90s among my guitars). I don't care for humbuckers much at all, but I can totally see them having a bigger, or t least different market than the p90s.
Here's a thought, though: wouldn't that p90 Classic model be something with a Bigsby on there?

Semi Moseley did it first; legend has it the rough shape was first created by flipping a Strat over down and drawing round it..... then the German curve was added. Univox and Dano - and I think a few others - did their version of it. Nice to see it making a bit of a comeback from Thomann, something a bit different from the "usual" F & G styles.
I just hope Thomann eventually do produce the left handed classic in something other than burst; ideally the blue, though I'd be as happy with CAR. Save the white option for when they do a Johnny Ramone style model, left handed...... :D

@@padraigmahone4512 The whole "flip a Strat over and trace it" word is what I heard, too, having paid much attention to Mosrite since 2008. The bodies don't line up perfectly, but they're similar enough.
