I consider myself a Muslim, i am so new and i know nothing, i am 15 and was raised in an anti religious family and i am praying the only way i know how and can in secret all alone and i many times am trying, i am very worried that my efforts are not enough but Allah knows my situation, my father is heavily against religion as a whole not just Islam and i want to be an ‘official’ Muslim, i am not even ‘allowed’ into a mosque, i want to gain knowledge and get closer to Allah but i feel like because i dont know how to speak Arabic or say the correct things in prayer and all this stuff that a normal Muslim would know, i just hope Allah is understanding of my situation and he gives me his mercy because i am new and in a hard situation where my decision is unsupported and frowned upon and discouraged. I love my family and they love me but with this situation it is hard to get close to Allah, i feel this is a test but I also feel it as a heavy burden on my soul, it feels tough and i cry to him asking him in any way i know how to make it easier and to make me better. I’m just getting my feelings out of my system. Is there any advice for someone brand new to Islam that knows absolutely nothing? Some advice would really help.
You are on the right path,,,in other to improve try download an english translated Qur'an and hadith make sure you read the first surah of Quran everyday because these surah makes all solat valid after then start getting used to some short surah starting from last few surah of Quran listen to Islam scholars by the grace of Allah azawajal you shall be so happy you embrace Islam....may Allah help and be with you AMIIN

Sometimes i get late because of surgeries going to long and I've to keep performing surgery for 8/10 hours sometimes i miss my salah because i can't pause the surgery 😢

I had severe depression and anxiety. Once I started praying my 5 prayers everyday, things started to change for me. I still have little anxiety but nothing like how bad it was before.

You have Allah. Even if you have nothing in this duniya, you will have everything in the hereafter, if you believe in Allah and follow his guidance. This Duniya is like a nanosecond compared to the eternity we will spend in the hereafter. So work for this nanosecond and enjoy the pleasure that Allah will provide for you in the hereafter, Insha Allah! Hang in there my brother.

You need to do your Shahada first before your 5 prayers will count. Allah knows best.

@Sylvia Stols you should search for a mosque closest to where you live and just go in and talk to the Imaam. He will be able to tell you exactly what is right and what is wrong better then any of us random youtube comments. May Allah guide you my sister.

bro I am from Nepal whole community and society here is. a Hindu ( superstition religion) but I reverted to Islam 6 months ago but bro they all have bad opinion and perspectives of Islam like terrorism and harmful religion so Its being hard for me to do any Islamic stuffs and Salah in my home bro because everyone here is Hindu and how to do anything Islamic bro they will kick me out of home

Keep going my brother. Allah will protect you. Don't worry about this Duniya and what the disbelievers think of you. But if you fear for your life, you should try to move out of that area.
