The greatest shortcoming of these advanced properties is that you cannot do rollups of rollups. The explanation is that circular references might appear. Which is silly. Just have the system check if that creates some circular reference. If any database exists more than once on the chain of rollups, don't allow it. It this feature existed, you could be looking at (eg) a task, and see information of it's project, and of the project's people, and of their departments. Not existing, you have to go back and forth through databases, or include some information in the name, a big mess. Just do it please.
I am a school teacher wanting to convert my worksheets into Notion. Can I make a formula refer to a specific answer in another cell coming from a related table's data? In other words, I want to convert a simple fill in the blank worksheet into a table (questions) with relation column (answers in a separate answers table) and have a 3rd column (formula column) determine if the answer is correct and award points if correct as one might do in Excel e.g. IF(B2 = "photosynthesis", 5, 0)-- In this example B2 is the answers selected from the choices in the answers column which happens to be a relations column to Answers table
Thank you for the video! I will play around with relations. However, I do have a question about sorting a table of contents... I need to sort a table in Notion by Name. The names of the items are actually addresses. I need it to look: 1 Avenue 11 Street 114 Avenue 1178 Street 23 Avenue 239 Street 31 Avenue 3156 Street... and so forth ...instead of the actual numerical "natural" order that the regular "Sort" function in Notion provides by default: 1 Avenue 11 Street 23 Avenue 31 Avenue 114 Avenue 239 Street 1178 Street 3156 Street My question is: CAN IT BE DONE? If so, how? Thank you! 😁
Can we calculate the number in roll up property? I can't do it. For example, I have separated table of clients as a profile database including ID, DOB, and etc. Then, I link the client's profile to another table, such as invoice tab which has date of purchasing. I try to create the new properties "Age (mean on that day)" on invoice table. But notion can't calculate the roll up parameter. It can only show the original value. Do you know how to fix this or please inform notion to fix this issue in the future.

I think you can do a formula property that shows your rollup and relate another rollup to that

How do I realise formula cell B2 = cell B1 + cell A2 like what excel does? It's making me crazy now.

Notion needs a scripting language, formulas is not enough.
this is all cute but how can I duplicate page / table without changing original page and vise versa ?
Please add table of contents :)
For the database or for a page? I was able to make a table of contents for a page
@@ZeroInfinity-t1r I'm talking about the UA-cam Video haha
@@ZeroInfinity-t1r It exists from a long time and now they have made it floating which is awesome
Her voice is awsome
Notion takes more time to keep it updating and running than using it as a productive tool.
