Walt must have read the book, Dune. “Fear is the Mind-Killer.” This fragment indicates the insidious effects of fear on our cognitive abilities. Fear, when allowed to run rampant, stifles rational thought and decision-making.
One of the top characters in this "universe" so far for sure, a great character. Thinking about it now, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are full of them, I am now extremely nostalgic for a complete rewatch of it all.
Initially, Saul Goodman character was only to be in 4 episodes, but Odenkirk was great at the character, Gilligan & Co. decided to expand the character throughout the the BB series. Now Better Call Saul series is probably the best of all prequels ever devised. I love BB, but Better Call Saul is just a little bit better in my opinion.
Saul was the perfect addition that the show needed. You will see plenty of him. In storyline these two bumbling dealers could have never made it so far without Sauls guidance and he's great comic relief. One of my favorite characters for sure.
I don't know why Saul did not show a picture of the guy to badger when he showed a picture to Walt and Jesse he should have showed badger since he was the one meeting the guy lol
@MLennholm lol maybe he really acted like he had no idea who to be looking for other than a bald guy lol I mean the two guys look totally different other than they are both bald lol
This is where the show gets truly captivating. I dont think any of us need to tell you to watch Better Call Saul. Lol. But finish Breaking Bad first. 😀
There's a part of me wondering where your head is and should we all be afraid of you? At the same time, there's another part of me that can't unsee it now you mention it.
Disagree. BCS relies on BB. None of the reveals in BCS land without BB. Most of the tension in BCS comes from knowing where certain characters end up in BB. That said, 3 of the best characters in this universe are introduced in BCS.
Maplenuts! After Breaking Bad was finished, Vince Gilligan (the creator) did the Better Call Saul series, which is a prequel to Breaking Bad and shows how Saul got into the businiess. It's fantastic and might even be better than Breaking Bad
Couldn't agree more. Both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are probably top ten all time TV series. I put them equal only because I think each makes the other show better because of all the tie ins. Truly great work from Gilligan and company.
"Better Call Saul" is a prequel to "Breaking Bad" and is every bit as good. Some say, better. In this episode you heard Saul refer to his P.I. who only took one hour to locate Walter, he is yet another amazingly great character who is in both series.
"No it wan't me, it was Ignacio! He's the one!!" .... jot that down in your notebook and hold on to it until you watch the series "Better call Saul". Best (at this moment in script writing non-intended) easter egg ever!!
Nobody You are going to keep hearing that. Nobody Great action / one man army movie with Saul (Bob Odenkirk). Super cool. Lots of fun! Happy New Year 🎉
BCS started as a comedy idea but Vince kinda pivoted and used it to kinda clarify and complete the messaging of Breaking Bad. i personally prefer BCS but I've also been enamored w/ Bob Odenkirk since I was a latchkey 12 y/o watching Mr. Show on late night HBO. He's been a comedy titan who came up with Conan, Robert Smigel & maybe Greg Daniels. He also created the Chris Farley motivational speaker sketch. It's been very rewarding to see him finally get renown in the past decade.
I highly recommend going straight into BCS after you finish BB, but don't look into BCS until after BB is finished. UNLESS, you want to start BCS right now lol. I do think a good way to watch both shows is to watch BB up through this episode. Then switch to BCS. Then switch back to BB at a certain point in BCS (not going to say which point because it's kinda a spoiler and I know y'all aren't gonna watch this way), finish BB, then finish BCS. At the least, memory hole this for when you're all done with both to see what ya think lol
@TheDemonicPenguin agreed, but then that would make the context hit differently when watching it in BB for the first time. Don't want to get into specifics here, but I'm thinking BCS S3E2, and how that would change the context of things in BB. It's works, but in a different way.
Now is a good time to warn you. Whatever you do do NOT watch Better Call Saul. It’s an abomination. It can only ruin the BB experience. Ignore anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. You have been warned.
@KyleBaran90 that means 5% are not praising it. I'm also in the 5%. IMO, BCS is overrated. Not a bad show, but not even close to being better than BB.
@@chasingbirds3073 Did you watch it all the way through, or did you reach a certain point and drop it? I'm just curious. I know S1 was more comical than the others, I figure most people that disliked was because of the lack of action early on
Disagree 100%. BCS is not only great in and of itself, but it does a stellar job filling in details and backstories of the main characters in BB, enriching BB in retrospect. Side note: not enough people are recommending watching "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" before getting into BCS. "El Camino" serves as an epilogue to BB; BCS is a prequel.
I can totally understand the sentiment. Very different feel in BCS. And it fell off the rails at one point. But I personally finished the show and still recommend it. Even if a lot of people never finished it.
In my opinion, this is the point where Breaking Bad really takes off. It goes from a good show to a spectacular show.
They don’t need a criminal lawyer, they need a CRIMINAL lawyer!
You need to watch all of Breaking Bad, then the movie El Camino, then the PREQUEL Better Call Saul in that order to get the whole BB universe
AGREED!
"Did you know that you have rights?" Kills me every time 😂
it's truly scary how many reactors I've seen say "yeah, I THINK that's a thing"...either convinced themselves or, at best, unsure.

Can't wait for you to watch Better Call Saul after you finish this show.
Going back and rewatching this episode after seeing all of BCS is a treat.
Walt must have read the book, Dune.
“Fear is the Mind-Killer.” This fragment indicates the insidious effects of fear on our cognitive abilities. Fear, when allowed to run rampant, stifles rational thought and decision-making.
Well, he did end up telling Badger that he was a cop, as required. 😆
One of the top characters in this "universe" so far for sure, a great character. Thinking about it now, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are full of them, I am now extremely nostalgic for a complete rewatch of it all.
11:45 Ignacio 🔥 Lalo 😁😍
Been so excited for you guys to meet Saul lol
Saul Goodman is the best character, don't watch better call Saul till this is over
The best mid-series character introduction in history
Not really mid series but yeah
I feel we need two episodes at a time. The wait between feels long.
10:23 - "A fellow potato eater"
"The real name's McGill...."
Remember that line for future reference guys!
You guys won't be disappointed with better call saul . Just finished I t and it was the bomb .
Better Call Saul is such a good show, cant wait to you guys watching it :)
Happy New Year 🕛🎊🥳🎇🎈🎉
wait what? it already new year, huh? tbh here it still 1446 i dont see any change
I still love Mr. Show with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross.
s'all good man!
One of the best episodes in the show.
Better call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad
1:55 lol it isn't a thing. It would make undercover work literally impossible.
Maybe he did but Badger doesn't have a photographic memory and when a bald old guy sat down next to him he just assumed it was the guy
i mean....he IS a lil slow 🤷🏻♀️
@deadassdgaf100 lol I guess that must be it lol
@MLennholm lol maybe he really acted like he had no idea who to be looking for other than a bald guy lol I mean the two guys look totally different other than they are both bald lol
This is the episode where Badger becomes Public Masterberg
The main character just arrived
Wait a second. I just realized something. You guys look exactly like Walt and Skylar.
How dare you.
lol - not even close
How does Jordan's beard grow so fast?
This is where the show gets truly captivating. I dont think any of us need to tell you to watch Better Call Saul. Lol. But finish Breaking Bad first. 😀
Don’t look too much into BCS! Let it all play out, it’s is worth every minute 👌🏼
i would totally call saul
Better Call Saul is a true prequel to Breaking Bad and is not solely a Saul Goodman origin; it sets up the entire universe of Breaking Bad.
chandra looks nice
Chandra is sweet and adorable but at the same time looks like she could've been part of the Manson Family.
There's a part of me wondering where your head is and should we all be afraid of you?
At the same time, there's another part of me that can't unsee it now you mention it.
Chandra has a dark side? Naaaaa.... 👀
@@geoffsmith1479 Have you seen a picture of the Family girls? Same haircut, same innocent look, same sinister lust for blood.
@@geoffsmith1479 Google a picture of the Family girls. Same hair, same innocent smile, same lust for blood.
I hope you watch Better Call Saul too!
Im one of those people that consider Better Call Saul better than Breaking Bad
tbh both same level they have both something to deliver, knowing it the same genius Gilligan, i cant choose. perfection both!
Agree, though BCS wouldn't exist without BB, and it's in conversation with it the whole show. They go together.
me too
I completely agree.
I think that Maplenuts will too if I had to guess
Disagree. BCS relies on BB. None of the reveals in BCS land without BB. Most of the tension in BCS comes from knowing where certain characters end up in BB.

"It wasnt me, it was Ignacio! Lalo didnt send you?" keep these lines in mind and it will pay off ;)
Maplenuts! After Breaking Bad was finished, Vince Gilligan (the creator) did the Better Call Saul series, which is a prequel to Breaking Bad and shows how Saul got into the businiess. It's fantastic and might even be better than Breaking Bad
*And Peter Gould, who wrote this episode of BB and was sole showrunner of BCS for S3-6 (Vince was co-showrunner s1-2 and in the writer's room s6).
Couldn't agree more. Both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are probably top ten all time TV series. I put them equal only because I think each makes the other show better because of all the tie ins. Truly great work from Gilligan and company.
Peter Gould is the one that deserves more credit, of course along with the actors. Then the great Vince Gillian.
Yes, indeed - once you're done with Breaking Bad, you really MUST start Better Call Saul. You must.
"Better Call Saul" is a prequel to "Breaking Bad" and is every bit as good. Some say, better. In this episode you heard Saul refer to his P.I. who only took one hour to locate Walter, he is yet another amazingly great character who is in both series.
Worry about Better Call Saul after this all is done.
please drop reactions sooner happy new year 🎉
just i will beg for something, watch better call saul after, you will see the best spinoff of all times!
Would you guys be willing to react to Anime or is that not your thing?
👋🏼

I forgot that this is in his first episode.
Saul was only supposed to be in three episodes, but ended up with his own spin-off show.
Saul Good Man
And JUST LIKE THAT one of the greatest TV characters of all time was introduced to the world. This episode is incredible.
"BETTER CALL SAUL!" 😉
Nobody
You are going to keep hearing that.

Great action / one man army movie with Saul (Bob Odenkirk).
Super cool. Lots of fun!

Peter Gould was the showrunner of BCS, not Vince. If you or anyone thinks "man I think I like BCS better than BB", it's because of Peter Gould.

Hard disagree because there's a lot of drama from BCS which only works when you know future events.
@TheDemonicPenguin agreed, but then that would make the context hit differently when watching it in BB for the first time. Don't want to get into specifics here, but I'm thinking BCS S3E2, and how that would change the context of things in BB. It's works, but in a different way.
I am also someone who believes Better Call Saul is vastly different however slightly better than Breaking Bad
I could never get into the Better Call Saul series. Wished it was written around Mike instead.
Mike and Gus is all in better call Saul so yeah like three seasons of them
I felt the same way, but you’ve got to make it to the point and better call Saul in the series where Mike gets introduced then it takes off from there
It has its own spin off within better call Saul about Mike within the show itself. It’s pretty awesome.
@@Timshot100 Yes they are.
@@Timshot100 Interesting.
Ignacio and Lalo who tf are those people? They’re never mentioned or shown again. Bad writing, unbravo Vince.
this a serious statement? or sarcasm?! ....cause yeah 💁🏻♀️ THEY DO, just in Better Call Saul.
