    Just bought this yesterday and can’t wait to use it! Thanks so much for the clear directions.

    Thank-you. I've never used one of these before so the reverse thread info. was helpful.---I wouldn't have been able to use it or would have ruined equipment trying to thread normally. One piece of constructive criticism. Your advise to use soapy water to check for leaks is a good idea. However, you mentioned checking for leaks before you charged the line. An empty bucket doesn't leak.

      That's cool, or should I say hot, lol! I've tested a few brands and really like this one.

    I live in North Idaho. I just shoveled 28” of snow off our metal roof. Wondering yer thoughts on using something like this burner in a capacity like that? Shoveling wet snow is hours of pure labor. This might be worth a shot.

    That would work really well on finishing wood tables or doors giving them a chard look.

      Yes, I tested it on on some pine and it works well for that.

    The reason I believe they stop using pilot lights that stayed lite on kitchen stoves is the wind blew them out when you open up the doors in the house. Filling up the house with gas. I had that happen to me in the 90's when I bought my house. Built in 1976.

      Makes sense. The flames are so small, which makes the ignitor a much better option.

    Do you think I could have a leak if my torch doesn't make sound when I open it

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 роки тому

      I wouldn't think so. You could mix up some soapy water and spray it on there if you're concerned that it's leaking. I'd put a squirt of dish soap into about 12 oz of water and spray it and look for bubbles.

    How long would a 20 gallon tank last if you'd run it on high the whole time? Estimate

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 роки тому +1

      That's hard to say. I'm thinking 6-8 hours, but really don't know. I just use it for 15 minutes at a time.

      Home depot says one hour of continuous use.

    Will it work with a 15 lb tank?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 роки тому

      I would think so. That might be a good question to post on the Home Depot website. I normally get answers within a day or so from the manufacturer.

    All Gas connections are Left-Handed Threads!..so I’ve been told. The “Pressure” can be the biggest problem, too much and it will blow the flame out.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 роки тому

      That's true. I recommend starting out will low pressure always.

    How long would the propane tank last with full throttle?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  2 роки тому

      I haven't checked it out, but I'm hearing you can get up to 2 hours of straight runtime from a 20lb tank. I never run more than 15 total minutes each day I use it. I'm often stopping and starting it while using it.

    What temperature can this flame reach?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  2 роки тому

      I believe propane gets up to 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Anyway to adapt this to 1lb tanks?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 роки тому

      I'm not sure if they make an adapter for that. Here's a video I made of a smaller torch that runs off 1 lb tans... ua-cam.com/video/8QYIMGCxiJc/v-deo.html
