I'm from Jonesboro IL (about an hour and a half from the canal loop trailhead). I've ridden for almost 10 years and still have not made the trip to this trail. Heading there this Thursday for the first time. Super excited! Awesome video btw 👍 amazing effort. I won't be beating your time lol.
I have a great snake story. I was riding on a trail and it was raining. The trail started getting really muddy and my heartrate was near max. I was about to slow down to take a break because I thought I couldn't pedal anymore. Right when I started to slow down a water moccasin (poisonous) snake was right in front of me and it had its head up ready to strike. All of a sudden I bunny hopped the snake and road like a madman for a minute or so. It's amazing how much push you get from an adrenaline rush.

When are we gonna see a William's Hill video?! I was wishing I could be there. I really enjoyed this video because I actually just rode this trail for the first time about a month ago! So this is actually great trail scouting for me since I don't have much trail knowledge. Thanks for sharing and congrats of the killer time!
I didn't get enough footage from the William's Hill day. It was a long day and needed to get done so not a lot of filming time unfortunately :( Glad to hear you're getting into some MTB, it's a lot of fun!
Well done Christie. Love your motivation. I live in the UK and am doing lots of rides and workouts. Strava challenges this month are 1250km distance and 7500m of elevation gain. Been doing sweet spot workouts and vo2max (actually based upon a workout you did on Strava). Will probably retest FTP at end of June/beginning of July. I've gone from 182W in December to 209W in January to 223W in May. 49-year old male. Have you tested your FTP recently?
Great job!! You are making some very consistent improvements and that's so great to do! I haven't actually done an FTP test in a couple months, but these Zwift races have allowed me to get 2 new FTP's just based on how intense they are, haha.

I have been using a GoPro but get so much wind noise and I’m trying to find a good small camera to fit in my back pocket with a good microphone, for vlogging and cycling, any recommendations?
I have this for my 7, not sure it will fit the 8 but they also make a slightly modified one for the 8. amzn.to/3gXT9nr I ended up returning the DJI Osmo Pocket. I really liked it, but there just needs to be a few new updates to it before I'll go back to it. Honestly I wasn't happy with it's mic and just figured the GoPro would work just as well. I've had good luck with the wind muff's on the GoPro's in the past to help with audio quality though.
Only you could take 13 QOM’s in one ride and only beat yourself each time! 😄 I think you might want to check the local earthquake map cause that result may have registered.

Definitely think 49 is possible! It was off sync maybe half a second? I wonder if that's it, but now I'm going to be assessing my turning 🤣

The telemetry stuff comes from the Garmin Virb Edit software. It's free and works with any video footage.
