Believe it or not, you may be able to order the whole right channel still from partstore or Yamaha. At this point I have recapped around 15 of these amplifiers myself with zero issues. This one I managed to Screw up in the learning process of trying to find a problem myself. I think the price was around 300.00 shipped. For specific issues, and troubleshooting, I now will rely on my local electronic shop. The board is still good in this one, so down the road I will have them fix it. She is all recapped anyway, so at least that is done. I got three more in my inventory arsenal, so no hurry to pay the big boys for repair. :))
Bird and audio channel, Could you perhaps tell the website where I can buy the left and right sub-board? I recently bought an MX-1000 but unfortunately it was used as a donor and the sub-boards are not inside the amplifier.
I have recapped the MX 800. Pretty much the same thing. I have been selling complete cap kits for them on ebay lately, ex the four main caps, which you need to hope will still last, , as they are a fortune to work a replacement for.
