Because when I uncap the fps and go over 100, I need a solid second before I can walk again after a jump.
probably not
fps are tied to movement on cs 1.6 somehow. It affects both acceleration and speed in some cases. For example, if you're being shot by someone, having lower FPS will make you almost immune to slowness, while having more fps will make it damn slower for you to move.
This is much more easy to spot when you play zombie mode for lot of time, mainly when entering a bunker as a zombie.
It also affects gravity in someway too, for this you go for example into Assault, and climb the side ladder just next to the door. If your fps are limited to 18, you'll fly the heck away from the ladder and die, while having normal or 100 fps wont make any change. Also, you climb faster on lower fps.
And last but not least, your strafing movement goes crazy when you unlimit your fps, thus "developer" console command being banned in KZ, as you'll get much more airgain on each strafe.

@@perfumelovr It is indeed a part of the game, thats actually related to the acceleration but FPS make a huge difference as having higher fps will make your accel fuck up and be way higher
