Thanks Dusty, that was a great interview with a great performer. Derek says that in the early days the guys shared a lot with him. I remember seeing Derek play when he was about 14 and his band members spoke of being jealous of Derek.

Ya this is about as relaxed as I've seen Trucks in any interview.
Would be ULTRA Cool to See Derek get together with Dickey, but I know Dickeys health has not been faring very well.

why wasnt muddy waters/american blues household names at the time? racial tension, segregation, thats why. let's not forget what the south was and still is like to this day. deny it all you want ask someone from there and they'll tell you.
