Following! My dad restored many tractors over the years, with John Deere being his favorite. He would have loved to follow your work on this piece of history!
That’s great. I would have loved to have the knowledge that I’m sure your dad did for this. By me doing it and posting it on here, I’m trying to share knowledge and process with others to keep the hobby alive.
I agree, Cody! Thanks! He said it turned over a year ago so I’m hoping I can free it up without getting too crazy. I’ll probably try and pull the head soon to get a look in there.
Hi Noel! I'm hoping it's not too bad to get everything freed up. Eldon stated it turned over a year ago, and we don't get that much rain in Colorado, so fingers crossed! Thanks buddy!
That's a big time project, but once you finish it you will feel good about saving another tractor. Can't wait to see what you do with this tractor. Thank you for helping out that gentleman. I know he will definitely appreciate your time and effort. 🚜 👍
Thanks Hyatt! This one needs a lot of love. Many things on the tractor are seized up, so I'll definitely be putting my abilities to the test. Eldon, the previous owner, just wanted to make sure that it went to someone who would not scrap it and would give it some love. If I can get it running again in some reasonable amount of time, I'd love to take it back to his farm and let him drive it around.
Thank you for rescuing my dad’s tractor! I will be watching your progress. I’m Eldon’s sister Laura.
Hi Laura, thanks for your it support. I will try and make your family proud. Be patient with me, it may take me a little bit. ☺️

Great video. It'll be good to see the process!
My hope is to get it free without too much hassle. But that’s what everyone hopes for lol. It’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Thanks for giving my grandpas tractor a new life! Can’t wait to see the process
Hi Morgan! It’s my pleasure! Thanks for following along!
I have a 40 B slant dash I’m working on now. Can’t beat the sound of the 2 cylinders. Glad you’re saving it.
Very nice!
That’s gonna be a fun one to dig into. Looking forward to the upcoming videos!

Lots to do there Hans. I’m sure it will be going again. Great story.
And I will be following along. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

I would love that
Great video as always. That was a little but nerve racking loading that.
I sure like that IB there too!!
It was! Because of the frozen steering it made it that much worse. I’m thankful that Eldon’s farm hands were able to help. They were really great.
The IB is from Fort Howard Paper
It has a push bar on the front to move pallets of paper.
@@eldonwalker4279 Cool history!!
There's a John Deere H, and M up for grabs in my neck of the woods 😂
Let me see how this goes and then we can talk 😂
@@TractorHoarders are you handy with money? 😁
@@mattthescrapwhisperer I’m sure good at spending it! Haha
May want to check your serial number, that’s not a 39.
Yes, others have told me it’s a 1941. I usually use TractorData to verify but it’s been unreachable for me here the last few days.
