One of the easier 4,000 m peaks in the Alps | Vincent Pyramid-4,215 m

- The mild mountain route we planned in the Alps turned into a full-blown adventure.
As the mountaineering season came to an end in the Pennine Alps, they also brought a wave of bad weather.
Our mission was to summit Vincent Pyramid, a 4,215-meter mountain in Italy that lies close to the border with Switzerland and has neighbouring mountains Punta Giordani and the Balmenhorn.
We left from the town of Staffal. The first day had us concerned from the start, that the Gnifetti hut we were hiking towards might be closed, with our concerns only being increased further when the weather took a turn for the worst. As we approached the Mantova hut, we lost visibility completely.
Our luck changed when we heard the sound of a generator that led us to the final section of the Gnifetti hut, a via ferrata system with a decent vertical climb to the hut.
The following day was completely different, presenting clear weather that allowed us safe passage over the Lys glacier and towards our mountain and a stunning view of Mont Blanc.
On route to the Vincent Pyramid, you also have views of Lyskamm and numerous other mountains in the Monte Rosa group.
The summit presented astonishing views of the nearby mountain ranges.
On returning to our refuge, we also met a few Alpinists / Snowboarders, of which one actually snowboarded off the top of Lyskamm.
As we were descending our route, we noticed pawprints in the snow that were running parallel with our footsteps for about 3 hours, giving us the worrying thought that we might have been followed by a wolf as we were ascending the previous day in limited visibility.

In Bolivia we have football fields at high altitude. El Alto Stadium. 4000+ meters above sea level
Planeo visitar tu país el próximo año 👍🏻
I'm out of breath just by watching this lol. Also, "we are going to have some lunch" pulls out a cracker haha, jk, cheese crackers :D Beautiful video man :)
Thanks!
that looks quiet cold. But really another great video and stunning locations. Great edit. In case you want to get some more summer related vibes, I would recommend my newest video, that I uploaded today ;) Take care out there. Best wishes, Mario
thanks! I'll check it out ;)
what do you do in case of the hut is closed 😱?
It would of been ok. I found out later that many huts in Europe (that one included) have a winter room with blankets where you can sleep in case of an emergency 🙌🏼
Thanks for watching!
I just subscribed to your channel, it's awesome my man :) sorry to but I have just another question, how do you go from Chamonix to Staffal? do you spend a night there? I have plans to be in Chamonix 4 days in november and I have the plan to do this peak, thanks in regard! :)@@TraintoSummit
@@miguelreyesmx We had a rental car and drove from Chamonix to Staffall via the Mont Blanc tunnel. I'm not sure if there's any public transport but definitely worth a check. Have fun doing the mountain, the scenery is amazing 🙌🏼
