Echo Park's America 6x6 paper pad is awesome. I liked it better than any patriotic printed paper I have seen lately. It is out of stock now, but I put in the notify me request. Your cards are all fabulous. Please keep these 6x6 paper pad videos coming. I enjoy them so much! Thank you for your time and talent. Off to see your new web site now.
You didn’t even need any extra ephemera. All the sentiments in the pad were all you needed. I really liked the last cards with the circles. This design was very eye-catching. Great job with 29 cards from the pad. Only 16 more to go! I’d like to see those, too. Your cards are always so pretty.
Pamela B Thank you so much! I agree, the ephemera pack wasn’t necessary. The cut aparts were just perfect. If I have time, I’ll share another patriotic card video. 😊
Red, white and blue has always been, and always will be, my favorite color combination. I love Americana based paper collections. Lovely cards, as always, Kristie!
I always admire how patriotic Americans can be. These cards are the nicest patriotic cards I’ve seen in a while. The red, white and blue are significant for the UK, NZ and Aus as well. Thank you for sharing Kristie. I’m praying for your country right now. There’s so much healing needed. 🌹Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺 🐶and Omega the cavalier🐶
Rosie Allbon Thank you Rosie! I have always enjoyed using patriotic colors on my cards. It’s so fun that some other countries also use the same colors on their flags. 😊💖
Kristie, I love this paper! Blue, stars and the wood grain. I’m dying...I know I don’t need 3, but at some point I need it! Love your cards and die cut stars! I need to use up some more stash before I buy more paper...make room for the new. I keep finding stuff I didn’t know I had. 😂 TFS your talent with us! 💙💙💙
Crafting and Relaxing Thank you! I have a weakness for patriotic paper collections and always buy extras. I need enough to last me until next year. Especially since I’ll be making Independence Day and Veterans Day cards for the retirement home residents. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
Layering is the key to professional looking cards. I realized that after watching you. A lot of card makers don’t want to use the extra card stock for economic reasons. Your cards are beautiful so I try to copy your sketches.
Congratulations on your beautiful website! Your husband is so supportive of your art-how fortunate are you?? It was really nice to see the large photo of you! Talented AND beautiful!! These cards turned out so great and the red white and blue peel offs were the icing on the cake!
Cathy Krebs Aw, thank you so much! You are very sweet. 😊 I really like my new website. I’m still trying to figure out the new platform, but I’ll get there. 💗
Since I found you I am less stressed about making cards in bulk. I am including sketches to do all the guess work fit me. I am getting rid of old packs now and enjoying my card making way more. Thanks for all you do. Stay safe and hugs
Kristie, Thank you for your inspirational videos. I've learned a lot from watching your 6 x 6 series. I've started my own 6 x 6 paper pad clean out. They are not a great as yours but I am making cards and getting rid of all my paper pads that I have never used. I can't wait to watch your next video. Thanks again, Sheila
Great cards! And now you're over halfway to your goal. I LOVE your new website/blog! Very pretty and so nice you can have multiple pages of craft goodness. Congratulations!
Jennifer Reece Thank you so much! I’m confident I will get the rest of the donation cards completed in time. I love my new website too! My husband did a fabulous job! 😊
These are so pretty! I always enjoy seeing July 4th cards. I love the color combinations. As a Canadian I always wish someone would do July 1st cards..... I feel they could be pretty as well.
That's actually a great idea! You could start it and it's possible it would catch on and spread across your country!! You have nothing to lose starting something like that! 😃
Michele Lavigne Thank you! That’s too bad there aren’t patriotic papers for other countries. I’ve always been a fan of making cards to celebrate Independence Day. 🙂
All of my cards that I've been making lately have that "wow" effect that you have put into everything with your layers. Thank you so much for all of your videos, they keep me grounded, focused and creating! 💌
I love 4th of July cards and your's are the best! I LOVE the "circles" card! I really like your new blog. I will definitely use your affiliates when I want to buy something.
Oooh yes!! Im working on this pad myself 😅 have some relatives in the US so are making some Cards for them But was out of ideas with the papers so thaaaank you!!! This helps alot!!!😍😍😍
Love the colours and patterns of this pad and how you have combined them to make great cards again. I will have t keep my eyes open for the pad evn tho i couldnt use the cut-apart pages as live in Australia.
Kay Forder Thank you! It’s a very lovely paper collection and would work nicely for Australia as well. So fun both of our countries have the same patriotic colors. 😊
Love the clean lines of these cards. Yih do alot more layering than I've seen on other cards markers. It took me a me or.tek to figure out what you were doj g kn the back of some of the cards then ibrwalizsdbyoubwere makingbup for the layers on the other side. May need to try this on some packs I have but may need to look for other styles. No need for those particular ones I'm 🇨🇦 only know a few people in the USA.
Wendy Well Thank you so much! I really like how the last cards turned out. No, my friend doesn’t share pictures of her cards. She’s very talented though and I love her cards. 😊
Congrats on your website - no more blog?? Looking for the card sketches you have used here & colour combos as don't live in the US so July 4 not relevant for me...tfs
Heather Upton Thank you so much! I’m really liking my new website. The old blog will stay open a bit longer. I’ve already transferred all of the old posts to the new website. 🙂
Yea!!! So glad to see another tutorial. Love your new web site - the images are much easier to see and read. (Liked your new header also.) Thanks so much for sharing your hard work. Do you find the need to glue the hand tied bows so they don't pull off? How much of your scrap solid color cardstock do you save, or do you give it to your daughter to use?
Beth Hansen Thank you! I’m very happy with my new website. Lots of work, plus the older posts didn’t transfer over completely correct. I don’t glue the twine bows, but sometimes I’ll add a drop of glue to the ribbon bows. Before donating the cards, I always check to make sure everything is adhered securely. I keep all of the larger pieces of cardstock. I have a stack of drawers where I store it. My daughter knows she’s welcome to use anything in the cardstock drawers. 🙂
Kristie hope you’re well Not sure if you’ll be able to answer these questions I have regarding your sketch layouts but hope you can/will. BTW love these videos. Please keep doing them. So question 1. Where do you find your sketches? 2. Why do you pick those ones? I assume the ones later in the video are picked as they have smaller layout pieces, but why the other ones? 3. Do you reuse sketches, e.g., have favourites? And 4. Do you catalogue which sketches you use? Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks
C Booth Thank you so much! 😊 1) I find the sketches from a variety of online sites. I share that information on my coordinating blog post. 2) Sometimes I select sketches because they are new and I haven’t tried them. Other times I choose sketches to fit a specific image or sentiment. And sometimes I select sketches that I’ve used recently and really enjoyed the design. 3) Yes, I reuse sketches all the time. Some quite a bit because I love them. 4) I have all the sketches saved on my computer. I also keep the printed version in an expandable file folder. 🙂
Love all the cards!!! Could you please provide a link where I can get the light blue bakers twine you were using on the cards? I've looked through your list and didn't see it listed. Thanks so much!
Hi Kristie. I love your videos and the way you use sketches to make the most of a paper pad. Amazing. I have a quick question about your coloured cardstock. I have a habit of using it with the textured side up which can cause issues. Do you use texture side down when not using smooth cardstock? It looks like it based on the way the brand line is visible when you trim it?
Eureka Havoc Thank you so much! If I have textured cardstock, I generally like the texture side to show, so I use it facing up. What issues do you have when using textured cardstock?
Karen Cheslak I add a short uplifting message inside each card. I write something different every month. At the end of this video I share a previous video where I talk more about cards for donation and show the message I wrote. If you follow my Instagram page, I also share more information there. 🙂

Thank you so much! I've always been a big fan of adding cardstock layers to my cards. I just stock up on cardstock when it goes on sale. 😊

Donna Murphy-Vallee Thank you so much for your kindness and support. The new website has been in the works for awhile. I’m really happy with it. 😊
Would you, if you haven’t done so already in a video, go over your prepping process? How do you determine which sketches to use?
Deborah Carr My 6x6 process videos are coming. I’m trying to get caught up on some other videos first. Then I will start recording that series. 🙂
Oooh yes!! Im working on this pad myself 😅 have some relatives in the US so are making some Cards for them But was out of ideas with the papers so thaaaank you!!! This helps alot!!!😍😍😍

Sherrie Hughes Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you again, Kristie. Love them!!!
Tammy Shaffer Thank you so much! 😊
Oh Kristi...I only have to make 45 cards....and I write in each one. 🥰
Carolyn Waggoner I used to do 90 cards for every holiday until my friend started helping me out. 45 is very doable for me. 😊
The cascading circles were really a unique look. My favourite paper was the peppermint image paper.
Does your friend post her set of cards?
Wendy Well Thank you so much! I really like how the last cards turned out. No, my friend doesn’t share pictures of her cards. She’s very talented though and I love her cards. 😊

@@KristieMarcotte Thank you!
Correction: red white and silver peel offs! 😀Love the fact that you didn’t do any stamping. Puts a new twist on things!
Cathy Krebs I actually did pull out a stamp set to use. But once I got started, I decided to stick with the cut aparts. 🙂

Hi Kristie. I love watching your process and the finished product. The peel-offs - what is the dollar cost, do you know? Thank you.
Christine Busby Thank you so much. 😊 Lizi’s peel offs are $1.69 per sheet, plus shipping. She also sells some 4-pack bundles for $5.42 plus shipping.
Awesome cards!! I wish sketch selection was really as easy as you make it look!! 🥰
Beverly Stotz Thank you! I don’t show the parts when I just stare at the papers or search through all the sketches trying to find the perfect one. 😂
💖💖💖🌹🤓
Debra Shaw Thank you! ❤️
"...I had to purchase it or three..." lol!
