➕ Groovy, flowy dancer
➕ Engaging on stage, I also like that she's having fun when performing
➕ Distinct groove in the group
➕ Movements have that sense of flow and bounce which adds a nice texture
➕ Nice footwork
➕ A bit limited range of motion in her joints, which makes it harder for her to isolate specific body parts.
➕ Might give an impression of not hitting beat bc of her flowy way of moving.
Hyein
➕ Expressive performer
➕ She has longer limbs and flexible joints, which makes it easier for her to isolate specific body parts.
➕ When she goes full-out, I'd say her coordination is the best (that's why she looks better in dance practices than stages).
➕ Great extensions
➖ Overall, just inconsistent on stage. She also restrict her frame to look balanced to the members (and that affects almost everything especially her posture)
➖ Has yet to have a defined characteristics in style
Haerin/Danielle
Haerin
➕ Clean well-coordinated dancer
➕ Good attention to details
➕ Movements are polished, good control and precision
➕ Generally good alignment and body awareness (This makes her satisfying to look at)
➕ Overly focused on technical precision sacrifices to vary the energy and intensity of her movements, resulting in a performance that is less dynamic and expressive.
➕ She come across as stiff or too mechanical in their movements imo.
Danielle
➕ Expressive performer, never a blank moment on her expressions
➕ Sharp dancer, can add some impact to her movements which can add energy to the choreography
➕ Decent isolations
➖ Like haerin, just not as fluid like the choreography requires
➖ Less proficient footwork
Minji
➕ Decent lower area control
➕ Fairly on-time
➕ Good lines
➖ Having difficulty adapting to the fluid nature of the choreography
➖ The arms and legs moves independently of each other = appears disconnected or disjointed.

Haerin is really shined in OMG era her dance is so smooth and detailed
Honestly, I think lots of people underestimate haerin's ability just because she is shy and doesn't like to put herself out there they think she is mediocre but actually she is extremely talented
that applies in their debut, it may have taken some time for her to be noticed but I think we can all agree that she is now being recognized for her talents (esp in dancing).
The millionth comment I've seen today, they've just debut i dont think ppl think she's a weak dancer but just haven't seen her strengths yet😅

Hyein really shined in this choreography... It showed hints of her potential.
Just personally love haerin's dancing the most, very detail-oriented and very aware of her positions and angles. You can clearly see the amount of hard work she's putting in trying to figure out the nuances in their choreographies and polishing it to perfection. She might not be the most expressive but it's clear that she's mechanically the best.
I think … - I KNOW Hanni’s the absolute best dancer in NewJeans and a new look in Kpop for main dancers that I haven’t seen in a while. She doesn’t do too much with her technique. As if her body floats with air when she dances. I LOVE HER FOOTWORK. And I love how fun she is to watch.

@@meofomi i think the dance technique is called "litefeet" although haerin nails footworks the best in the group (they just have different dance styles but both are at the same level of good dancing and main dancers material!) but hanni's footworks always look like she's lightly tapping the floor its rly amusing ive noticed her litefeet footworks in their numerous award show performances

I agree with your ranking for this choreo, Hyein was captivating me a lot this time. Since Newjeans choreo seems to be following the motif of a mix of bouncy hip hop and footwork + acting like a bunch of teens jumping around having fun, Hyein's leg work and extensions feel satisfying to watch, and there are times where I think she matches Hanni's quicker foot work.
This era is Hyein's. Vocal - perfect, Dance - perfect, Visual - Perfect, Stage Presence - perfect,
0:27 The way it took me a while to see Haerin *was* putting different emphasis on those beats with that footwork lolll I was too focused on the whole group cuz that whole part in the choreo was so fun

I honestly think they have same situation as Le serafim or Stayc. There's isn't particular gap between members so no one stands out in really good or really bad way.
Hanni and haerin is the standout for me. They are not even comparable to stayc where everyone is just mid - okay dancers if im being painfully honest 🤭
StayC on average is lower than the other 2 groups for me in terms of dancing

@@yoonaddict2527 I wouldn’t really say that they are much different to Le serrafim if not potentially better. Le Serrafim has no standout dancers they are more of a performance based group. As for New Jeans it’s a bit harder to compare i’d say considering the drastic differences in their choreo. With this being said no one on new jeans is a top tier dancer either.

This choreo is super interesting and groove based 💘
NJs member all dance very well and give fresh air to kpop. I especially think that Hanni has more vibe of a professional dancer and not just an idol. Her moves are more flexible and perfectly rhyme with the music. Other members of NJ are so impressive in MAMA performances that make me think they are also professional dancers. Regardless a group with different styles and all execute their tasks well bring the best entertainment.
Everyone is going on about haerin and hanni as usual but I think the others are superb dancers as well. Their skills are equally matched and are subtly different. The comments should stop trying to make it out as if haerin and hanni are way better than the others.

As a dancer myself, hyein followed by haerin are the main dancers , hyein due to her high and clean movements
and haerin really shine in this era with her smooth fast movements and ability to controling her hands

Hyein is alot better than I initially thought. I've watched dance videos of her and she's honestly so good, esp in Ditto and OMG. I hope you're going to make OMG dance ranking next coz the choreography is so good

Just coming from a non-dancer perspective, Minji seems kinda struggle in this era (Ditto - OMG). She also has major stiffness and can not keep up with faster choreography (pretty much all new jeans dance break). I don't know what happens because her timing is easily the best in “Attention-Hype Boy”. I ranked her second in the group but I think I might change my mind and give her the fourth (maybe last place)😢.
I don't think this choreography showcases her ability well because if you watch GDA she's easily the most captivating in terms of dance
She is the one who is struggling with the chorus part of the dance. Her footwork is not good in this era. She is a little slower than the rest.
I've watched the choreo like 20 times but I don't see where Minji is stiff or can't keep up. Ofc she's less content with this type of style of dancing but she's been pretty consistent and timing as well as coordination is her strong suit.

I think haerin will be ghe reason y i’m gone get into NewJeans. Haven’t really gone i terested into KPOP for the past few weeks cus of Loona’s controversial. No doubt, haerin is the only one who has a street dance exp background among the 5. But they all go well as a group!!
