I hope you enjoyed the video! Do you have any other sequencers you like using for this technique? What do you usually modulate?

I enjoy using the vox glitch to jam one moment of strong modulation into the jitter function every so often on marbles so the timing gets thrown off before it rebuilds itself and heads back to straighter pastures.

@@TheHouseintheJungle Oh nice! I usually just set the jitter and forget about it, but adding jitter occasionally is a great idea!

I tend to keep sequencing really simple and just slap sample and hold on everything instead! I usually use the VoxGlitch one with Count Modular Super S&H because it's poly. Cheers!

I really love crossing the channels of the Digital Sequencer to mix and match sequence lengths for notes and trigger outputs, so multiple voices will have polymeter at their core but also are intrinsically related to one another. So one might be a 13-step sequence, but I put the CV into the notes of one and the trigger/gate sequence into another, and then use a different channel of 21-steps and swap them around. Really simple but keeps each voice pretty fresh.

I absolutely love the Digital Sequencer as a central sequencer because you can use different clocks on each of the six channels - and it can be fun mixing CV and trigger outputs to have a polymetric voice by itself by having, for example, an 8-note sequence and a 5-note gate pattern.
I highly recommend people who haven't played much with this sort of sequencer to give it a go! It's a good one.

Great stuff Omri! I bought a Korg SQ-1 (for peanuts, as it happens) to use specifically for this very purpose with my hardware set up. I’ll often feed both channels through a Doepfer Sequential Switch with maybe an LFO and S&H on the other channels and use a slow-ish probabilistic clock from Pam’s to cycle the channels of the switch… Usually to modulate filters or FM. Endless fun! Cheers man 🍄

@@OmriCohen-Music I forgot to mention putting the Make Noise Wogglebug into the mix… That’s a whole new realm of crazy!

    Hi Omri,
I'm curious about the MIDILAB modular midi controller you are using at 5:51.
Looks great. Are you able to share some details ?

Hi! It is indeed great, and you can design your own setup, but I believe that it's not being made anymore... Have a look at Midilar Midi controller.
