It's very easy to Landmine on any class, I would prefer you pre pop Achilles so you don't have to press to many buttons and you 2 tap everyone. I would even go as far as saying it's stronger then landmine rogue by a mile. If you catch a rogue out of stealth you kill him 85 percent of the time. If you see dead mobs next to a blue, wait 30 seconds and throw torches in the room, never think you are alone and turn up the volume on your mic and you'll die less to landmine. Rogue honestly is not a problem in the high end, it's all the players who have lifes and don't play this game 25/7. I have problems with fighters that have 50percent PDR and has an o shit button that heals all their health, with crossbows. Unless I'm on my barb of course then meats back on the menu.
Smoke pot rogue destroys all classes with the Rupture + Poison + hand cross build. This wave will come when everyone realizes this and the smoke pot will get nerfed.

When the only control in the game is the ranger trap (Not to mention the ranged meta that turns the game into a shooter).
Invisibility potions should be "transparency potions" and give you 80% invis.. so that you need to use the darkness to be "invisible" and that allows counterplay to landmine barbarians lol, more people would run around with torches
Don't know why he's trying to prove that you can "landmine" on other classes when he proceeds to play barb with purple weapons and kill people with base kits like ya everyone will get easy kills if you fight someone with base kit and you have purples Barbs are just in a bit of a mess rn as they have such high damage but don't ever seem to get punished for missing attacks I play cleric and if I'm able to dodge and then clock an attack with a buckler they should get some type of stun of attack speed slow because they always just seem to hit me with another swing as I hit my 1st after blocking. The reason why rouge landmine is more problematic is because they have good ways to escape and can use their invis more effectively than a potion can be used.
The main problem with rogue is that their hide ability makes this annoying playstyle the most available and most effective. Unless they change how hide works, rogue will keep getting targeted for playing as their abilities suggest they do - rats.
Agreed, Hide needs to made into a tool that is helpful for picking your fights but not as a tool that helps win fights, at least to the degree it helps now. Its hard to say how to do that though. I seen people suggest preventing the rogue from attacking for a moment after coming out of hide, much like TF2's spy, but I feel like that isn't the most elegant solution. What if Hide applied a sizable speed penalty that lingered a little after coming out of it but didn't break upon moving. Makes it a more flexible sneaking tool, basically giving them the Stealth perk with infinite steps, but also makes it almost impossible to stick on someone if you try to landmine with it.
My suggestion was to make hide only work in shadows, so anyone with a lightsource can flush them out. It's called hide and should hide you, it's not a spell of invisibility.
@@mauzilus Fair, but how dark does it need to be? make it too harsh and the only use it has is to remove your silhouette from a light behind you, but make it too forgiving and it doesn't actually solve the problem as the only time it matter is if the defender already knows the rogue is there

I think the best way to nerf hide is make the noise when you enter hide loud like drinking an invis pot &/or add the after image wizards have in their invis to every step a rogue takes in stealth. Almost every class already has rogue counters, making it so torches are a hard counter would effectively kill the class. Which ig is what some people want considering how indifferent we are to barbs and rangers yet still talking about nerfing the lowest hp & dmg class in the game

Rogues get nerfed every patch and haven't had any pressure in the game since they nerfed daggers/hide and you can play nearly any other class and have a better time it isn't skewing stats the stats show rogues suck

Castillon = damage nerf / Rapier = speed nerf / Shortsword = no moving when swimming You can try the dagger build , but ambush is still a problem. Kris dagger is becoming more popular now. U can slow ennemis with caltrop (and deal 10 physical) or even use smokebomb who is insane for the moment. Dont fight what you actually can't. Well, lets see. Wizard has light orb and can precast magic missiles to kill you since if u dont use a inv pot ur gonna be orbed, and with pot u dont get ambush to kill em in time. So u need to relegate a bunch of dmg for cutthroat to bother with a good wiz. Slayers absolutely outdps, outtank and outrun rogues. Rangers dont move around so u cant ambush them, cept in trios where they are always behind the frontline but its a fair pick still. Cept for if they have shotgun... Barbs are too tanky and onetap you and all barbs run high ms now so u cant outrun them without sacrificing too much dmg. Warlocks just phantomize, if they get a tick on you you are not able to invis and are half dead. Again needing to relegate a whole perk to killing them and even then dark reflect is gonna chunk half your hp and they build hella ms while having healing ticks. Pdr fighter simply swings at you, u wont kill them in time. Bards are definitely faster, have the same or better dps with better range. Clerics, again too tanky to burst and smite onetaps rogue. And other rogues are just a statcheck. So rogues get a semi favorable matchup against ranger IF u can get close and IF they dont run shotgun. And a good matchup against wiz and warlock IF you delegate a ability to cutthroat and the wizard still has to fuck up. Il not saying rogue has to be op 2stabbing again, but rn he does suck ass. Compared to classes like barb on ms build or bard on dmg, he really obly has the 10 steps of invis movement over them.
Barbarian is absolutely faster than Rogue for about 6 seconds with Rage. They also have Achilles Strike which reduces movement speed by 30% for 2.5 seconds. Even if they have a Viking Sword, they are still faster than the average Rogue for 6 seconds even if the Rogue has nothing equipped.
Smoke bomb and caltrops is what you need to counter , i just all i say , even with achilles strike , they can't outspace you if you have those@@NoHoEric

These arguments ignore the nuance in the game and is something id expect from a dishonest player. Why not just say barbs are op instead of comparing them to rogue, which mind you is also still one of the best classes in the game along with ranger fighter and barb.
first of all, if you watched the video for man than 1 second, you would see that his barbarian who isn't even running a movespeed build, is getting 321 movespeed with their weapon out, additionally, burst damage is always stronger than dps would you rather deal 300 damage in 5 hits, or 200 damage in one

Secondly burst damage isn't stronger than dps, dps wins fights at the higher gear levels vs burst every time. If you're dying to burst you probably have no mid-melee movement. Are we supposed to buff rogues everytime another class is broken? Like i fully admit barb is broken but its a joke if rogue players really think they need a buff because other classes are stronger than them. (and not even stronger by much)

I will put it this way when you think of rogue you think o it must have stealth because that is the class identity so they obviously want to keep that. Stealth makes it very difficult to balance and always will.

nah this is a miss, rogue still out maneuvers every other class allowing for easy access to insta kills on squishy classes and allows them to easily dodge and weave in and out to kill barbs, and fighters, on top of pdr being useless against rogue anyway with weakpoint. barb is def strong, but that doesnt mean rogue isnt, invis is the problem and shouldnt be in this game.

It is a playstyle... but one that rewarded rogues waaaay too much because of the perks and skills synegies. So it is a problem with rogues.

Barb's and clerics are my last favorite class to play against. Both take no skill/brain to outlast most other classes.
i mean there are alot of games that have classes that suck purely because of how annoying they are, at least we figured out dark and darkers this early on
good, I say remove the rogue entirely, its whole design is easy to play and frustrating to play against

nah this is a miss, rogue still out maneuvers every other class allowing for easy access to insta kills on squishy classes and allows them to easily dodge and weave in and out to kill barbs, and fighters, on top of pdr being useless against rogue anyway with weakpoint. barb is def strong, but that doesnt mean rogue isnt, invis is the problem and shouldnt be in this game.
There's an easier way to say that you don't play rogue.

What a dishonest video, I play Rouge and wizard exclusively and it's clear as hell Rouge is a huge issue and just rewards you to play in the most boring lame way possible.
