My next purchase will probably be a Stihl extendo hedge cutter. I heard a rumor they'll have a model with higher blade speed and more oomph soon so I'll hold out for next year. Can't wait to get rid of the stench and noise.
@DaEternalNoob, although I still have petrol, I can't remember the last time I picked it up. I suspect the battery gear will only go from strength to strength.
Great review! Many thanks for posting.
I have a long reach hedgecutter attachment for my Husqvarna 535LK combi . I never cut the tops of hedges from the ground , as you can't see the finish. Great for cutting wide hedges from a ladder though! Bought my first battery powered equipment a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not impressed!
What battery equipment did you buy?
Mines a year old , it's on its 3rd motor, 2nd Bowden cable and now back in for a new head casing, I do cut a lot of hedges but this machine is very poor , my recently purchased HSA 100 is back in for repair at the moment, my FSA 90 strimmer is only homeowner quality and power, but my MSA 161t chainsaw is really good as is my old HLA85 which I recently rebuilt the head, which is just as well as I've invested about a £1000 in batteries so we can cut all day 😎
There's no way it's gone wrong that much in a year. I'm a professional gardener and mines 3 years old, never had a thing go wrong with it and it gets used all the time. Your either extremely unlucky or exaggerating
@@scotttarry4909 it had gone wrong that much I'm a " professional gardener" and this time of year cut hedges most days , sometimes all day that's why I have 5 batteries
@@scotttarry4909 just got the hla 86 back used it most of the day , just waiting for it to break down again, , hsa 100 still being repaired, fencing the weekend so no worries 😂
@@grahamwatson6570 probably make sense to buy a petrol one again then, be cheaper for you in the long run if it breaks down everyday
@@scotttarry4909gone wrong again, motor squeeling like a pig ,,new motor I recon, take it back in next week,,great at the height of the cutting season 🤬
