- I was really sad when making this video. I was looking at some earlier cinematic DJI OSMO Pocket 3 vlogs I did which were not promoted, and got much less views. I really loved those videos and the messages.
I decided to start a small series of episodes to talk about the themes of those episodes and why they didn't perform as well on the UA-cam algorithm. I want to analyse and review the content I made to see where I went wrong. Did I hold the retention or not? Did I tell an interesting story? What more can the artist do and provide as a glimpse into their process. Some things just perform better than others. It's also a way to revive those episodes since the ones I put the most soul into sometimes don't perform well.
Everything I make is written by me without any use of AI, so it's all original. No stock footage, the shots are all done by me. I want to bring an auteur personal approach to cinematic vlogging.
I think this is 43 episode into my 50 cinematic vlogs by years end goal. Going strong. Might need to set more goals. DJI OSMO Pocket 3 is a beast of a camera. It's a cinematic weapon to cure depression.

I agree with you, the opening shot with the neon light is beautiful! And also I think you have trademarked your opening shot - monologue and the camera turn around 😊😊
It's so nice! I feel like sometimes this tiny camera does the most amazing shots. the turn around works I think, its def inspired by Wes Andersons whip pans :)

I’m sorry that you’re having a hard day. Some days can be real tough for some. In these times, it’s important that we turn to our people for a little love and focus on what we can build for ourselves going forward.
And don’t be disheartened by less views on certain videos. I think those differences in views here are negligible and it’s not a matter of something you did or didn’t do. The chips are just falling where they will in this strange videoland. All the best. You can do it.
thank you! yeah its so cold, I felt demotivated and someone stole my bike which I felt was a lil character in my vlogs. I spent the last 2 days trying to film but felt upset. im back up now and filmed today. I do it coz I love it, but yeah sometimes I get affected by these things. anyway thanks for comment and more coming soon :)
That sucks! Who steals a bike these days?! Is Australia postwar Italy now?! Might be worth looking into a new locking system. They make really good ones now that are super hard to break. Don’t wanna loose another lil’ fella!
I like the advice at the end about writing. At the end of the day this is just a marketing platform that takes your content to tack ads onto. I remember folks following the algorithm rules in 2014 Insta. Where are these folks now?
Social media has made The Great Chain of Being a social reality again but at the same time the are a few places that can be leveraged for a rare win.

@@NoHomage Same... I'm going about it in a round about way: grad school, novel, script, movie. :D yeah, i get confident by night time & it resets in the morning.
I find myself in the same situation. It takes such a huge effort to get started but the second I start my edit the clouds lift and the sun rises and I get to work. Do something really quick in the morning to get the ball rolling and maybe it will roll all day.
the ups and downs of this life! but I feel best when creating :)
We all have down times brother. Your channel is truly helping inspire me to get out there more and just create. And if you need a little push of inspiration, I suggest reading Rick Rubin's book "The Creative Act: A Way of Being" it's amazing
