I come by and listen to this whenever I get nostalgic for the old days on Twitch. 2014-2017 was my favorite time being on the platform, and people like Mitch, Chance, and Byron carried that era. So hard. I miss it so much.
Reckful started the whole Streamers moving to Austin to hang with friends like Soda and Nick.. Now after all the drama and allegations Austin (the place not the show) is in shambles. There's been so much drama these past few weeks, so many friendships lost, someone scamming anyone they could, the whole Mizkif/Mitch/Train/Maya allegations shit. I know Train and Mitch dont mesh well since the old days but even back then Mitch and Train were an unstoppable duo. and as much as what Mizkif did was wrong him being gone for only like 3/4 days now kinda hits. Hes so good at making funny enjoyable and interactive content. I just wish he didn't say all those things and wasn't an idiot and thought things through
Reckful felt like the glue that held everything together.. Idk thats the only way I can kind of put it, Asmon is kinda the same but Reckful was the heart and soul of this community that I and a lot of other people have invested 100s of hours into just to laugh and have a good time

I saw his face on a Friday, we were pumped for the weekend, and he had the biggest, goofiest smile on his face when he put on some music. That’s the last time I ever saw him before he took his own life. There’s not a day that goes by where I wish I could just see his face one more time, let him know how much he meant to me. I’ll miss him forever, and bring the slightest piece of him with me when I go on with life. Rest in peace Byron and Timothy
Mitch you'll probably never see this but I lost a friend to suicide in the Marine Corps in 2013. This hit hard. I saw him 2 days before he died, and then I went on leave and got a call what happened. Thank you. This has helped me. RIP Byron and RIP Westfall
Similar situation multiple times when I was in the Navy. It never gets easier losing someone you care about. I wasn't close to Byron, but his influence certainly had impact on my life. My grandmother passed away the evening after Byron. July 2nd, 2020 was one of the worst days of my life. But death, much like life is passing. We have to move forward. Gone, but not forgotten.

My friend Ryan and I were friends since we were kids. As the years went by we grew into different paths but always remained friends. We played Destiny together for years and by the time Destiny 2 came around we played together still. I was always a PvP Sweat and he was a Raid/Nightfall guy and before The Last Wish came out he was so excited to play it but I was in my PvP bubble getting my Not Forgotten but he said he’d carry me through it afterwards and I’d helped him with his Luna’s Howl/Not Forgotten when the time came. He had been depressed for years and years and I was always there for him and even let him stay with my daughter and I just so I could keep an eye on him. He took his life and I was absolutely devastated when I found out. He killed himself right before The Last Wish raid came out and it was the first time I’ve ever done a raid in the first week of its release. I struggled but kept going, 7 hours later with a good LFG team later I finished the raid for Ryan. I got the One Thousand Voices exotic on my first run and it’s the only weapon I’ll never dismantle and pull from collections later since for me I like to think of it as Ryan thanking me for doing this for him. That 1K Voices is like having Ryan in my fireteam all the time, it never leaves my inventory. Ryan, I love you and I always will. See you later big guy. Edit: Also the LFG team were angels. They kept on going to help me because of why I was doing this. All 5 of them stayed with me for all 7hrs.

For a lot of people, myself included, you spent 1/3 to 1/2 of your life watching Reckful, a man who would stream the majority of his conscious life for a decade. It's real easy to grow attached to someone after that amount of time, regardless of knowing them personally or not. He had a laugh that could brighten the room up, and was always such a genuine and caring person. We'll never forget you Reckful, you truly were a legend.

Same. I thought I did well until then and now I'm a mess.
My friend Ryan and I were friends since we were kids. As the years went by we grew into different paths but always remained friends. We played Destiny together for years and by the time Destiny 2 came around we played together still. I was always a PvP Sweat and he was a Raid/Nightfall guy and before The Last Wish came out he was so excited to play it but I was in my PvP bubble getting my Not Forgotten but he said he’d carry me through it afterwards and I’d helped him with his Luna’s Howl/Not Forgotten when the time came. He had been depressed for years and years and I was always there for him and even let him stay with my daughter and I just so I could keep an eye on him. He took his life and I was absolutely devastated when I found out. He killed himself right before The Last Wish raid came out and it was the first time I’ve ever done a raid in the first week of its release. I struggled but kept going, 7 hours later with a good LFG team later I finished the raid for Ryan. I got the One Thousand Voices exotic on my first run and it’s the only weapon I’ll never dismantle and pull from collections later since for me I like to think of it as Ryan thanking me for doing this for him. That 1K Voices is like having Ryan in my fireteam all the time, it never leaves my inventory.

Edit: Also the LFG team were angels. They kept on going to help me because of why I was doing this. All 5 of them stayed with me for all 7hrs.

Byron positively impacted so many lives, mine included. He was a bright light for many during our darkest times. He was inspiring but also relatable. I truly miss him; his smile and his laugh were contagious. Mitch, thank you for this beautiful tribute. ♥

I held my pain inside but the love you put into this helped me open up and cry for him. You are a true friend. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their dear ones to suicide. easy to grow attached to someone after that amount of time, regardless
of knowing them personally or not. He had a laugh that could brighten
the room up, and was always such a genuine and caring person. We'll
