- Today we're taking an in-depth look at BT's offering to the television market place utilising the hybrid TV platform, YouView. Containing a 500GB harddrive, the YouView+ box allows for 300 hours of local recording while providing access to online on-demand services such as BBC iplayer, ITV player, BT player, Netflix and more. Access is also provided to IPTV services such as BT Sport.

Everything would be better without the music especially when you are frustrated with the impasse.
Good video, only had my box for a day, so far pleased with it, only paid £25.
I didnt have to pay anything not 100% sure, I know this was 9 months ago but yeah
I’m happy Showing off my Satellite Dish with Sky.
Disappointed you can’t use Wi-fi on it, so if you want to use it in another room it needs an Ethernet connected, which is totally impractical for me. Humax make the box, which considering I’ve had three of these sets in the past all of which broke down (not BT ones) so I’m not to happy having another one.
Just get a WiFi sender plug and wire it to that, I have and it works a treating sky fibre which is not super fast
You can buy an ethernet converter that plugs into a power plug. This comes with a kind of much smaller hub. This means you get the internet stuff wirelessly or without wires from you main hub.

I have a new box but do not want to connect to the internet. How can I bypass this in the set up?
That's what I want to know. I am find it difficult to get an answer to this problem.
The solution is not to go on the internet. I ignored the ethernet cables and just attached to the set top box. I just get Freeview through a TV cable which is what I wanted. Most of the internet stuff you can get from the internet I would assume.
This brings bad memories to when it was good now it is a laggy mess have you seen the new versions
Does one have to connect to the internet. Is there a way just to get Freeview through the BT Recorder Box?
Yeah got my freeview without Internet. Great. I can record stuff on Freeview but haven't learn ed to delete recording yet. Such a simple thing but impossible to get there just now.

Yes. It means you cannot get a simple connection to Freeview.
How do you highlight a recorded programme. For playback??
Go to guide click on what you want to record
Press record button on remote

Probably the BT one described is a good one. I am trying to get it going on Freeview but all the instructions seem to want you to connect to the internet when I only want the Freeview which it must be able to do.

I only have one blue light on my vision box. The one on the right is not on. I have tried everything. Can anyone help please
How do we zoom in on the picture while watch channels as on gold the picture in the middle I press zoom and ok it says use the arrow keys. What key I'd the arrow I've presses every button.

Yes yes, terrestrial television arial is required for regular TV channels.

My Youview box is rubbish. Don't waste your money. Doesn't record what it's told to. Poor product

This box is shit, not only does it crash/ barely respond to the remote and not work, ive had mine replaced and the replacement is shit too still too slow, barely responds to buttons i press on the remote and yet again still crashes, i guess for a decent tv service and hardware sky is far better.... From one angry customer
It is completely rubbish. I've had three now and they keep going wrong.

I tuned mine on today and I say Bollocks they are Horrible! The format is piss pore and impossible to follow!!! Gone back to my old box, and if you think I am making it up check out what others think! As the net is full of hate for them!!!

O and now found that only three of the seven MotoGP programs set to record show up on recordings pending! Also I do not seem able to get the delete protection working, ie are you sure you want to delete this Dave?
I may be being a bit thick and it only works on recordings and not Scheduled recordings and to that end I am recording loads of rubbish to practice on! But Where the hell are my other four MotoGP recordings!!! will it record them? And No I am Not Going Away!!! WRC is just the same! Day one and then day three, it is not on!!!
Sorry about that - I haven't experienced any failed recordings with this box.

But it is way more expensive! This box is a one off purchase for about £40 now on eBay and it is slick. I ditched Sky and haven't looked back
PLEASE learn how to pronounce the letter "H". Refer to the phonetic alphabet. H for Hotel. Not Aich. All to "TRY HARD" and only shows lack of knowledge ! Otherwise the video is fine.
