This product so old that using the term "throwback" feels so wrong HAHAHA. Have you tried one of these before? We doubt you have, but we'd be very impressed if you did. Anyone that has mastered the launch on these bad boys needs to show us what we're doing wrong! These things are so hard to launch....or are we just noobs? 😂
Just so you know, the way you wrap around the thread/yarn around it is to throw it with the point and the yarn pointing upwards, when you launch it is gonna flip automatically for the way you wraped the yarn, that's when you launch it it end up with the top part in the bottom
In India , it's called "LATTU" , Actually I think Beyblade is older than Pokemon . Thank you BBG for this epic historic unboxing . Wanna see some battles tho 🤣 Indian kids are pro in these , it's simple here 😎 But DB beys are Saitama against these tops XD
In the Philippines its a Traditional Toy as well it is called "Trumpo" it has the same design as the top from the video but instead of plastic it is made with a Wood body and a Nail as the Tip.
This is called "gasing" at my country, Malaysia. We use to play it a lot until now it still sell it for RM 1 each. The way we play it, is to destroy opponent "gasing" by throw it directly on top of opponent "gasing". If it hit n stop opponent "gasing", we win. The manual in this video also show it how to play it. Same as how we play.
We have that too in Phillipines and its made by wood the driver is nail to launch it it have an rope too just throw it and it will gonna spin it takes a lot of time to practice launching it lol BTW Its called "TRUMPO"
I used to play with these kind of tops when I was a kid. They were sooooo fun back in the day. I still have some of them they are made usually of wood and metal. Brought back alot of memories watching the video. I never knew beyblade had a product like this. Simply amazing!! Keep up the great work guys. Edit: They are called "Lattum" in our language/country

If u want to know..in malaysia we got the same thing as the beigoma,we use string and the step to launch it is the same as the beigoma,in malaysia we call it "gasing" and it had like difference shape and style to play with.Originally it made with wood but now they made it with plastic but it still got the same function as the original one. That is my childhood toy and i loved it so much!!!
In rural parts of India we have something similar that I played with. It's called "Latoo"or Tops. There were a bunch of tricks we used to do like spinning it and making it traverse on the string. We used to attack other tops and try to break them. It was made of a circular-ish wooden top with a nail attached to it that it would spin on. We tied the rope and launched it exactly like this. You guys might love it too if you try.
Honestly you guys really ought to buy some beigoma. I totally understand why you guys might not be interested, but trust me, beigoma are a whole different world compared to beyblade and they really make you appreciate all the things we've got for beyblade. As an avid collector of beigoma myself, I cant recommend enough on picking some up! They're honestly super fun the battle and they're uber powerful too! I definitely think they shouldnt be put up against any of your favorite beys because they'll tear them apart easy. Plus I think you'll find them a bit easier to launch than that big top lol. But hey that's just my two cents
In the Philippines that is called "trumpo" it's usually made of wood and nail. The shape of the wood is almost similar to that and the nail is in the middle of two woods so the head of the nail is not visible. It's a very popular toy played outside by kids here in the Philippines
That's actually not a beigoma, it's just a regular Koma (top). Typically they're made of wood and will have either a metal or wooden beam going through the center. Beigoma are the metal tops that you showed from the picture. They're small - around the same size as an HMS beyblade (although there are some bigger ones that are around the size of the early MFB beys) and the way they're spun is pretty different. Still, it's a fun video regardless. I always enjoy watching you guys.
I used to use a wooden top which almost had the same mechanism without the plastic piece. It's almost like how you whip a horizontally and it's made to play on ground not a modern day stadium
My neighbour made my brother and I something like this when we were like 8. Used like a wooden handle and a screw through it, shaped with a rotary tool to give it sick lines and somewhere for the cord to grip/wrap around. Deceivingly heavy but they spun super hard! Best hand made toy ever.
Dude in india we used to play with this when we were 7-8 years old... But instead of plastic, it was made up of wood and 2 nails hammered at top and bottom of it.... We call it "Lattuu" : Roughly means "something that spins"
Yoo! In India, these are very common and normally called tops. Everyone likes this here.... and we are playing this for about the last 50 years or more..anyway it was amazing :))
In Malaysia , it was called "gasing" and got many type of gasing in Malaysia such as it was made by wood and steel and yes you must spin it using a small rope to make it spins. Some gasing got a very sharp spinner steel and it was using to play by throwing at the other spinning gasing , if the opponent was bad luck , their gasing will be split in two.
I used to use them in the good old days and I can tell you this they I still struggle 20 years later. There's no real techniques other then to try and flick your wrist a bit but other than that it's just practice. But when you use them right they can overwhelm sparking and db beys. Another trick is to stand a foot or two back then launch
Also in Turkey there are some wooden Tops with metal tips and the same string style to play i can say its pretty fun if you got it to play it good. The cool side of it is you can hear a rumble like noise if you do it fast :D
the model and how to play it is same exactly with the toy in Indonesia that called Gasingan.. it can be made of wood or bamboo and more fun while we battle them with friends, but we need large area
Bro almost every Indian guy can launch this, it has the same launching mechanism as the "lattu". There are many tricks to practice but the most easy and common one is launching and landing it on your palm mid-air.
My Mother, her sisters, her brothers and my Grandmother used to play with it but that top was not customizable.......In India this was pretty common that children in 1980s like playing with tops and marbles.....After watching this video my mothers says Nostalgic😉😉😉
Try launching it upside down and while you're launching twist your wrist to make it spin. In the philippines we call it "torumpo" and it's is kinda popular back then.
Hey BBG the top when you throw it it's suppose to be held upside down, so it will flip on its driver it's like that wish all string type tops like that
Lmao. This is called Turumpo in our country, here in the Philippines and it's where you put the string in the bottom then you "rip" it by whipping it go like a yoyo to make it spin. Also its best trying it first to make a DIY of this using a Wood ang a nail. watch some yt video about this thing and youll see more.
I'm from Brazil, and we have a toy that is similar to a beyblade, similar to the one in the video, and there is a more professional toy, which is similar to the video, to launch it you must leave the "beyblade" upside down in your hand and throw it from top to bottom diagonally and pull back
thats the pro technique thats harder to do hes doing beginner tech nique an easier pro technique is thumb on the spike index and mid finger on top, swing flick and pull back
Dude we have a traditional toy here in Mexico called "trompo" which is exactly that so probably Mexican kids would've love these things, I know I would. Also you may try to spin it on the floor first, and I know it sounds weird but the tip has to be pointing up when you throw it.
