Man your a legend. Had a bit of trouble getting the installer to pick up the hard-drive. But clicked finder then disk utility and erased the created vdi. and selected install and it worked

For Ryzen 5 4500U I had the same problem, luckily I found the video above and used processor type "Intel Xeon X5482 3.20GHz" which was working! :) thanks for the solution
The problem is not with the VirtualBox configuration. But whether the PC is with Intel processor (MacOs supported) or AMD processor. As I've found elsewhere, there must be a different command setup for AMD processors. In general, AMD processes are a problem for MacOS.
@@pavelhanus6473 put this command within your CatalinaCommands.txt file then run it, It will define your CPU as Intel processor. VBoxManage modifyvm "Catalina" --cpu-profile "Intel Core i7-6700K"

My cursor was hanging at completion - to reolve it, I changed the display to VBoxVGA. Again, during installation of macOS, I set the HDD as the primary boot device so I did not have to shut down and remove the installation media. One other thing was that I could not interupt boot process by hitting ESC key. However, the installation was successful, or at least to the best of my knowledge. I WISH YOU COULD EXPLAIN THE COMMAND LINE SCRIPTS PLEASE.

So fair warning. This is an accurate tutorial but its also broken. As in the link the boot image needs a sign in and when you try to register the form works but doesn't send you the email required to register. Thankfully I'm not really taking my attempt to virtualize Mac OS seriously I'm just seeing how the process has changed over the years. Its doable but the amount of teeth pulling involved and how limited it is when it does work, you'd be better off buying a Mac if you have the money.
If you have an AMD chipset and have issues getting the VM to boot try adding this command to the command file. Worked for me. VBoxManage modifyvm "ios code" --cpu-profile "Intel Core i7-6700K"

Very good tutorial. But I ran into another problem. On a PC with AMD Ryzen, the mouse movement will freeze after a short program run time in the Virtual Box. Or it looks more like the whole program froze. Otherwise, it was possible to update to the latest version of MacOs - Big Sur. And even there, the mouse froze. Or the whole program?
Did you change commands or something else in the initial configuration? I have an AMD processor and I can't run the machine, it get stuck in the black screen
@@marck0zz All commands are entered from the command line before starting the MacOs installation. Because there is a lot of installation and startup problems in Virtual Box. So I switched to the VM ware program, where it's easier.

The answer to both. Yes. You need the VDMK file and the ISO file. The VDMK will be under 100mb to my memory, and the ISO file should be about 8GB.

how much time it is taking approx from when you start the VM till the Mac logo appears, cuz for me it took 4 hours, and the text still rolling up.
woah... it took me about an hour and half to get everything loaded. the installation part is time consuming, and its depends on the specs of your pc

What should I do if my mouse lags a lot? There's a huge delay from when I move my mouse to when the pointer actually moves.

You dont need to set resolutions just click devoces insert guest additions and select darwin and it should work of how your window mode is

Yeah, the text rolls very fast but each process takes some very long time it took me about 35 minutes to install on a 6GB RAM with 500GB SSD

my keyboard and mouse is connected via USB. If USB 3.0 doesnt work, change it to 2.0

what if there is only the option for "USB 1"? and where is 2 & 3?

toggle between 2.0 and 3.0 see if either works better. also give me ram and cpu if possible
