most of these combos aren't true on block so how are they considered combos, did ryu recently get nerfed or something because if u put the cpu to block after attack ur not landing half of these
You have to input the super pretty fast after M Hasho connects. Also make sure you're doing QCF x2 HP and not Medium or Light punch. Heavy punch LVL 1 travels faster
I gotta work on my drive rush after the jab.. i seem to have problems online ppl with unbreakable defense. I been stuck on Gold 2 stars-3 for a long time now
I haven't played since first strike and I was only a kid then. This drive rush mechanic is very cool. Just bought the game two days ago and wow, did I think I suck until I realized YOU HAVE TO TURN NEGATIVE EDGE ON. After I realized that I've really not had too much trouble with canceling attacks.
@@DarkSynth I meant after a light or medium donkey kick. I can interrupt the donkey kick with a special but I can't interrupt it with a regular uppercut
@DarkSynth wow guess I'll need to figure out this timing. Feels like a barrier between being good in this game, if I can't do this then no point sweating to get better. Thanks for the advice. Just not used to these inputs at all
@@DarkSynth I have a small technique for this. I think of it as one jab press, and i "link" it into 2 quick jabs presses, then the super motion. So like press the first jab, then "link" it into 2 super fast jabs. You will see that the third jab will go off a long time after you pressed it (the game buffers it), so this buffer is essentially more time for you to input the super.
Break the combo down. Just practice doing the 5LK xx EX Tatsu. Then go from there. Special cancels from lights can have pretty strict timing. Just takes practice :)
Hitting buttons in consecutive order is not enough you have to layer some of your inputs. People who play street fighter know this but you left it out of your tutorial which the game provides🤷 not the layering part

BUT this combo does more mental damage cause it looks cooler

As you're pressing the 3rd jab, you should be inputting the super motion. Then just press jab one more time after doing both QCFs

You have to wait for the opponent to bounce back to you. There's quite a big window where you can do either a super, DP or tatsu

You do the DP and then just one quarter circle + P and you'll get it

I do it like this :
hold down, lk, lp, ( miss the diagonal input ) forward lp, then full Hadoken, quickly. works every time.

at 4:20 isnt that first drive rush unnecessary? you can start with the heavy kick and go from there
