Not even thought of this song for a decade or more but for some reason it popped into my consciousness today. It's great to hear it again ❤
This song makes me blush
One of the best 90's songs
Iconic 90s indie. Brings back memories of driving from my small town in Iowa to Omaha to buy the latest cool records.
I probably had a shorter ride from Metuchen to New Brunswick in NJ then you did but the anticipation on that train ride To Cheap Thrills there or Pier Platters in Hoboken to pick up the latest l.p. From bands like Unrest or others like Polvo or Huggy Bear or Swirlies was an enchanting feeling... The less know bands from that era were so diverse and amazing
@@JeffjrNeiss there was a magic of discovery in that pre internet era that just cant be replicated today. Dont get me wrong. I love things now but back then it was so different and seems so far away now. Which it kind of is.
I have this record ❤️ can't wait 2 find the other ones and whatever 45 rpm they have
One of my favourites ever. 🖤🖤🖤
I was so focused and excited to see and interview The Breeders at Bogart's in Cincinnati for my Louisville college radio station that I was completely blown away when Unrest opened for them. I made sure to also talk to Mark after the show, but I don't remember it at all. I was still buzzing from the amazing musical experience. I made sure to catch Unrest any time they played within a couple of hours driving time. There was that one time at Sudsy Malone's in Cincinnati (a laundromat that had live bands perform while people did their laundry) when I had a long talk with Mark about this new Internet-thing and how he should look into it and get on it. I was quite the Internet evangelist back then. So glad I found this channel. Feel the love.
Great three piece indie pioneers
yessss
Love, love, love it. Saw UNREST 2x...once opening for the Breeders (💓) with Rage Against the Machine (???) and another time opening for Stereolab (💓 !!) ... great memories.
RAGE played before UNREST at that show -- ha ha.
@@TeenBeat sounds about right...and sensible.
Great post. Wonderful LP/band/small slice/time and space.
❤
So exquisitely specific
One of the only few songs I’d get married to
Cool
NICE.
Thank you Pavement for the recommendation
❤️❤️❤️
I think I saw then open for american music club at troubadour. This is righteous honest catchy mmmm.
Is Phil's hair crimped?
Yes. There are photographs somewhere of the crimping being done by Marie Arnold, I believe.
@@TeenBeat Legendary.
I hope people appreciate how fuckn odd this song is
I read a Pitchfork review that claimed Unrest were going for a Britpop sound on these albums. I could totally see this as coming from overseas back then because it was so unique.
