What does this do that Ballistol doesn't? Hell, for that matter, what does this do that a windex soak and a warm oven dry doesn't? I'll give you guys props for the vice block and especially the hammer block. Those are some good idea products I could see myself using.
For 30 years I've been using a piece of PVC pipe glued to a flange so it will stand upright. I fill it with Simple Green HD and drop in the suppressor.
@@wokndedfan413 There is no set time. You can leave it in a minute or overnight, depending upon how dirty you think it is. I take the silencers apart and clean each piece with an old toothbrush. Any gunk should be be scrubbed off, but contrary to popular belief, you do not need to remove all the carbon buildup. If your suppressor is sealed, I suggest using a parts washer to flush it instead of a soak tank.
@@Paladin1873 yeah, I have Specwar 762 and Gemtech sealed 9mm. I just scrubbed it and scraped carbon off of 1st baffle. I ordered this stuff off of Amazon. I’ll give it a shot. Then, try simple green. U use SG in concentrate form, or cut it with water?
.22LR suppressors have to be cleaned regularly. The manufacturers will say to clean them after 200-500 rounds. They're all made to come apart and be cleaned by the user. But if you're shooting jacketed bullets, then you don't really need to clean the suppressor. A longer barrel and rifle cartridge probably help. Many centerfire suppressors are sealed and don't even open for easy cleaning, because it's rarely necessary. After tens of thousands of rounds, lead and fouling will start to build up in the can and make it heavier and reduce the internal volume, diminishing suppression. At that point people are interested in cleaning them.
How _"immediately"_ do you need to shoot it? Take it out of the soak at home... drive to the range... wait for a bench... unpack & shoot. Could be 2 or 3 hours. Will the gunk still be loose?
Not once have I cleaned any of my rifle cans, little oil here and there. My Mask and Obsidian I just toss the baffles in my stainless tumbler for a couple hours, oil and reassemble.
Wait just hold it. This thumbnail. You're drinking it? What are you trying to convey? Is your throat a supressor? What is it supressing? Im so confused.
I use the other Breakthrough cleaning products and love their effectiveness, lack of smell and that the other cleaners are fine for coating and plastics.
bro what is up with their packaging??? ive seen their battle born HP Pro Oil in 3 different bottles sometimes idek if i have the real deal... You got the one with the blue background / black cap then theres ones with a transparent background & black cap then another one that has a transparent background with a fucking green cap... What is going on here
Yea, I'd have to question its effectiveness if it doesn't involve some kind of chemical reaction and any chemical reaction is going to produce potentially terribly toxic by products. Lead in solution is pretty dangerous. Getting carbon fouling into solution seems to be quite difficult.
Breakthrough Clean solvent has a good reputation as effective. You don't need to poison yourself to clean you gun. There are so many solvents and oils (lubricants, preservatives, CLPs) available now, including non-toxic ones, that toxic products are unnecessary. I don't need the best of the best, most solvents and lubes and oils work, so I pick among the non-toxic products. There are some pretty good options, including Breakthrough. ALG/Geissele and Lubriplate also make excellent non-toxic lubricants.
I see no benefits of this over just soaking in an other cleaner that also has detergents and surfactants. And also, that bottle looks like a drinkable liquid ngl

Simple green works? No damage to suppressor? How long do you soak it?

@@wokndedfan413 I use the heavy duty formula and I do not dilute it. Regular Simple Green may work as well.
I did that...and it took the finish right off! Had to keep the can in for a day or two...it was that dirty...So be careful on the time...
We're supposed to clean these things?
Was thinking the same.
Oops, mine have thousands down them and nary a cleaning
You should clean them from time to time
Only if you own a flow through

Simple green and an ultrasonic keep my 22 cans looking new. Done!!
Even aluminum ones?
@joerackl yes Sir, it won't pit or hurt aluminum.
Can you point me in the direction of which ultrasonic cleaner you have?
Huh. An actual solvent trap. Genius!
Can’t use on cerakote so that’s 80-90% of cans nowadays maybe more.
I can attest it works. Very impressed with how it cleaned
What are the disposal requirements and safety issues once soaking is complete?
Neighbors yard.
Counties and local municipalities often have locations where you can dispose of hobby chemicals like this.
Worked great!! Soaked the surpressor for 2 hrs & wiped clean as new
I clean my "Can" daily, usually right after watching ARFCOM videos.
🤣🤣🤣 I clean mine after reading your comments 🥰
@@ARFCOMNews did we just become best friends?
There’s more here than meets the eye I suspect. 👀

It’s dish soap, and water….wanna bet? 😂
Dish soap doesnt peel cerecote.
Simple Green.
Safe for cerakote=safe for titanium?
Is every single rep at Shot Show on coke, weed, alcohol, or a combination thereof?
I sure hope so. If there is still a next year, I want to go.
Vegas baby!
Their grease is amazing. The suppressor cleaner I'm not sure on. How is that any different than a CLR soak?
Can't use it on Cerakote. Well, that makes it useless on all but one of my cans.
So how do you get rid of the contaminated liquid after use
Just pour it out into a river , duh!!! 😅
I liked the thumbnail!
I use CLR.
Calcium Lime Rust remover. On my Sparrow and MIST.
Don’t know why you’d clean larger caliber ones.
NICE! I need this stuff.
Not once have I cleaned any of my rifle cans, little oil here and there. My Mask and Obsidian I just toss the baffles in my stainless tumbler for a couple hours, oil and reassemble.
Tennis ball container works just as good. Another shot show product that we didn’t need or want.
Not good for cerakote??? The thing most suppressors are coated with.
Do you have to remove o rings first.

Apparently you can drink ballistol but I wouldn’t drink this stuff!
Next year at shot show: fruit punch flavored ballistol
Cans can be fun if a Lil sweaty too😂😂😂
Lost me at won't work with cerakote....
$60 is a lot, i wonder how many cleanings i can get out of it
Meh, drop it in a pot of boiling water for a few hours, just don't tell your wife you used her pot.
if you like lead poisoning, sure.
On this episode of dateline

I wonder if this will work good with flow through suppressors like Huxwrx?
So dont just take a high pressure water hose to it?
lead acetate is the word you are looking for....
Yes! Thank you.
Eric!
wait, we clean our suppressors?
sonic cleaner is better and easier.
Even for aluminum baffles?
I cannot think of a single reason anyone would clean their suppressor unless it's a .22lr
Or unless it huxwrx flow 556k
If it’s non toxic, it doesn’t work.
