- Salar jung Museum has number of most valuable clocks. The most important clock which attracts the greatest number of visitors everyday is British Bracket clock. It has got a mechanical device by which a miniature toy man open a door and comes out of an enclosure and strikes the bell and then returns back to the enclosure at each hour. At 12-00 noon all the visitors of museum gather in front of the clock for excitement.

Hurrah! What a beautiful clock and how pleasant is the sound of melody played on small tuned set of bells followed by hour strike on big bell. Even if some quartz clocks electronically imitate the same they can't beat the real chimes like this.

Can anybody explain wts happening there(in the clock)?
I'm sure you have observed that when the wall clock hits any hour say like 11 am/pm, you hear a sound 11 times, same goes with any hour like 12 pm, you hear sound 12 times, 10 am - 10 times etc. However, in this watch also you'll hear same sound but as soon as the clock strikes any hour for ex 8, you'll see a man coming from inside his home and striking on the bell 8 times and goes inside his home and comes back to strike for 9 o'Clock, same goes every hour for respective hour. It's really a feast to watch ❤
