  • In this episode of Prevost for Newbies, Gil Johnson of the PrevostOwnersGroup.com takes the time to walk Andy through the "working" or driver's side of the coach bays. He starts with the engine and works the way through the inverter/charger, plumbing and generator bays. The focus on this series is understanding the basics of a Prevost conversion motorhome and the maintenance and operational tasks.

    It's good to see the serpentine belts on your volvo. Less problems! 👍I converted my 440 engine in my 68 charger to serpentine belt, and havent looked back!

    I thoroughly enjoyed this video and learned alot. You mentioned at the add line on the 5 foot dipstick on the Detroit's is about a gallon low. When I was a kid I worked at a large truck stop, filling semis with fuel, cleaning their windshields, and checking their oil. Every time I let them know they were a gallon low on oil, they always said that's fine! Maybe they all were due for an oil change, I don't know.

    Really nice and informative tour of the bays and outside. We have a Bluebird Wanderlodge and have had it approx. 4 years. Its funny how you still learn things even having the coach that long. Its good to get reacclimatized to every system. Very nicely done- thank you this was helpful to me even having a different motorhome.

    Great video. Good info. Thank you for sharing. I am surprised that this newer Marathon coach is still using a Hot Water Heater instead of an inline heater.

      @@TheGadgetGuru Wrong, your website does not have part 3,4,5,6. Additionally, they are not in successive order so we have to hunt them down on your webpages.

    I had subscribed to your channel, until i found out you were selling your coach. Let me know when you have your new one, then i'll subscribe again. Also, what is the nature of the relationship you have with siren, is she your wife? Thanks for all the good info. Let me know when you have your new coach, i'll resubscribe then. Scottishxpride, Texas.

      I guess that means you'll miss the all the new videos about my search for my next coach!

    • @scottishpride7511
      @scottishpride7511 5 років тому

      When you actively start searching as we are for our Prevost (new) which is why i was interested in your channel in the first place, then let me know - just don't want to see a year of videos and no coach. Your instructions are great. But, i wanted your impressions on Prevosts, and new ideas that went along with them, for helping the driver map out things of interest, and stops for fuel along the way...as my wife is not able to help. As such, your selling your coach, is what you need. Best of luck to you. When you have your new coach, again let me know. If, not a Prevost, no message will be needed. Happy trails....Scottishxpride.

    So how much was this coach?

    • @stano5102
      @stano5102 5 років тому

      Greg Wallace just a tad over 1 million. When he sold it was just a few thousand less. Of course he spent a few bucks along the way on maintenance and bunk conversion.

    Seems like you need an engineer to ride along to keep an eye on all the mechanics. Prevost's are beautiful but it seems like so much overkill. Like your friend said don't bother with this and that but I bet having anything serviced is like taking my Mercedes to the dealer. Mega fortune to have anything done. Prevost's seem like more of a bragging rights mobile exceeding all practicality. Maybe a "look what I have show mobile" far exceeding the intent in which motor homes are intended. Maybe there is a use for all that redundancy ....but I like your Flexable much more quriky and a real conversation piece. Anyway.....your Prevost really is beautiful. I wish you the best of luck with it.

    I can’t stand videos that the person being interviewed is constantly being interrupted. And why do all old guys dress the same way 🤢!?! Tucked in shirts so you can see nonexistent butts with tennis shoes and don’t forget the outdated jeans. Stuck in the past much. 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @deanh7190

      Lol. Us older guys can't wait until you reach old age so that when you ride in an elevator, they play your rap music only now it's slowed way down and you get to hear just how stupid it really is. ps:I kept my ass and traded my tennis shoes for hiking boots.
